We have a unit that was installed in the 80s (so 40+ years old) i had just bought the house and the elderly lady we bought it from shut off the system because she couldn't carry the 40lb salt bags. I was advised that i might need a new system since it hasn't been used in 2+ years. James from their maintenance team came over and checked out the system and turned it on. He inspected everything and found no issues. He did mention that if the water pressure drops than i will need a new system but he did not lie to me or force me into buying a new one. I very much liked the honesty and the fact he wasn't just a guy trying to make money. Even if the system does fail because it'sbeen off for so long, at least he wasn't lying to me or pressuring me to spend thousands of dollars on a new unit.

They installed a reverse osmosis system two years ago, it's already stopped working. Three visits with all sorts of guesswork to determine why and they're telling me I now need a pump (which requires electrical to be run) even though it's not a pressure issue. Item is still under warranty. No response to fax/email/letter sent to management. Would not use again. $900 system that breaks after 30 months? Look elsewhere!

I had portasoft in my home for many, many years. It was in the home for so long, one day I called and told them that surely I had paid for the unit after so many years. The next day they agreed and said I now owned the equipment. Fast forward to today when I had to pay another company to correct the sloppy installation work of portasoft.There were so many t-joints and valves that made no sense, it was difficult to figure out what each knob controlled. I hope they have better installers now then what they had years ago.
