I called UPI three times about ordering a product. Twice I spoke with people that couldn't help me- 1 sent me to voicemail, the said they would have the appropriate person call back. The third time no one answered the phone at all so I just hung up. After a few days someone called me back. I provided the name of the product I was interested in, quantity I would like to purchase and price I was currently paying for the chemical. It took 2 more days for UPI to verify that they had the material in stock. It turned out the material had just expired so they were going to have the expiration date extended. After more than a week, they got back to me and said the material now had a 6-month extended expiration (anything 6 months or less we consider to be short dated). To make things worse, they said they could not match my current price, their price is two and a half times what I have been paying for the material for last decade. The entire interaction with UPI was a huge waste of time. Rather than sell their expired material at the market rate, they tried to overcharge because of temporary supply constraints. Needless to say, don't use UPI- they will waste your time and do their best to rip you off.
