Bill and his helper just completed a fairly extensive repair job on the 15 year old paver steps at the back of my home (Fall 2019). Just to set the frame, the original job by another individual was done grossly improperly in terms of the base foundation. This was repaired by yet another person about 9 years ago. Fast forward to the present and time had taken its toll with sinking of treads, cracked/loose treads, misalignment of pavers, etc. We had to wait a bit to get the job done by Affordable partly due to other significant jobs Bill had on the docket. I can say the wait was well worth it as the job came out beautifully and at a very reasonable price point. Bill was forthright about the fact that the "fix" would not last indefinitely due to the original errors in construction done by the original contractor. I already understood this but I did not have the cash for a complete tear down and replacement and I appreciate that he was forthright. Finally, Bill did an awesome job finding suitable color matches for the treads and pavers needing replacement. Again, they were/are 15 years old. He has breathed life in to these babies. Several people have already commented on how great the steps look. Bottom line- it is not easy to find a competent contractor at a reasonable price. I will take his advice and switch over to stamped concrete when the time comes.
