Unfortunately, it was scheduled after a three day weekend and a very important, highly observed rule in my job is, that if your are absent on a Tuesday after a long weekend without previous authorization, they would deducted the holiday plus the absent day. Which unfortunately in this case was Tuesday, toilet day change.
Went to work Tuesday , explained in my job the situation and was allowed some time from regular working hours to solve the issue and return to work as soon as possible.
When I went to the Administration Office at the lobby on Tuesday morning and advised upon the conflict between their note on the scheduled maintenance and my job responsibilities. Respectfully I requested their help expediting the toilet installation with the contractor. I politely asked for priority based on my job rules. The young clerk, indifferent about my needs in seeking a solution, became adversarial and hostil in nature . She further indicated that she complied with the 48 hours rule.
I insisted on an exception and practically pleaded for her understanding.
Unfortunately, she did not and instead of helping with my request, she picked up the phone and called maintenance requesting I'll be thrown out of the office. A worker named Jason came and told me to get out and not politely.
The contractor was present and witnessed the whole situation. he approached me and said,
"Mr Feliciano I'm truly sorry for what I just witnessed Sir, I will change your toilet right now"
Thanks God for the young contractor. He only took 5 minutes to change the toilet.
The next month I needed to update and sign a new lease going into my ninth year. It never happened, the next date I signed a new lease with Forest Hill Towers and my GOD........I'm glad I did...
