I used to be happy with Oakwood Dental. However, I think I will be taking my business elsewhere after my visit today. I had an appointment for a routine cleaning. As usual, they try to do x-rays each time I come. I refused the x-rays, as my insurance only pays for them once a year, not every 6 months. The dental hygienist then did my cleaning. Ive had fillings done along the gum line for most of my teeth due to gum erosion. She scraped so hard that she removed some of the filling and left my front tooth with a visible, jagged edge on the front of my tooth. I had to come back after noticing it once I got to my car in the parking lot. She then tried to polish it. She made it better, but not as it was prior to the appointment. She shouldnt have left it like that to begin with. The top of the cake was when the dentist came in at the end of the appointment to check my teeth. As usual for this place, it was another dentist that I hadnt seen before. They seem to have a revolving door of dentists. The hygienist said that I didnt want x-rays, so hed have to view the ones from 6 months ago. He stated, I guess Ill use my x-ray vision! I didnt appreciate the comment. Im a middle-aged person who has never had a cavity before, as I take good care of my teeth. I came to have my teeth cleaned, not to be spoken to rudely and to have my teeth looking worse than when I came in. I will be searching for a new dentist for my family.
