Place is relatively clean and being open 24 hours is very convenient but the dryers are rigged like a slot machine. You need to pay $1.50 just to start the dryer and it runs for 30 minutes. Even if you only need 15 minutes of drying time, you forfeit the rest. They do this to free up dryers for other people which I guess can be a good thing because you'll be unlikely to run 2 dryers at the same time if you don't have a lot of clothes. Also once the 30 minutes are up you can add a quarter for another 5 minutes but the dryer doesn't heat up well after the initial 30 minutes are up forcing you to add quarters one by one to no avail. They want you to restart the cycle for another $1.50. When I was a kid a quarter used to give you 10 minutes and then it went down to 8 minutes but I don't remember the operators trying to run a scam with dryers. One of my first jobs as a young kid was working at a laundromat too.
Edit after owner post: Not rating it on price, everyone knows prices go up over time due to inflation of the dollar. Utilities are up, materials are up, etc. I'm rating it based on after I spent $1.50 for 30 minutes I extended the drying time by 15 more minutes (3 more quarters) and the dryer just ran on a cool down mode the whole time. That's a scam and I find it hard to believe that's not programmed into the machine.
