image Parkway Management the higher ups don't know that there office staff can be difficult to deal with. Here's my thing I moved to Essex county 6 year's ago from living in Bergen County for 40 plus year's. I rented my 1st Unit from Parkway Management that's when the office was open and you saw the Gentlemen who were purchasing the properties on a regular basis. Everyone was very nice and very personable. Unfortunately my unit was sold to another owner and for 5 years I was under a new owner who was also with a new management company. Fast forward to the summer of 2015 I want to move from my unit. That's when I find my old management company is located in East Orange, to my surprise I excited because now I can get back to great management or so I thought. Since I've been back with Parkway Management I've had some issues with paying my RENT but I always pay my rent. I understand that they just want my rent paid by the required date, but I've been having an issue that I've tried to resolve for several months It's a matter of a Hair brush that I've been accused of allowing to fall in my downstairs bathroom. My issue is, I contacted my management office repair line so that a work order could be put in. I'm told that any repairs to the unit require a work order. Two week's went past maybe 3 before I reached back out to the office to see why it was taking so long to have the plumber come out. After complaining the toilet repairman showed up he wasn't a plumber he's a repairman. The repairman had a manual snake that's used to unclog a toilet or sink. Whatever was stuck the repairman took the toilet outside the house to try and remove whatever was stuck in the toilet Here's where my issue comes the repairman said he needed to break my toilet. I didn't have an issue with the toilet being broken open but I wanted it to broken in my presence. The Young lady from the office insisted that the toilet would not be broken and that I had nothing to worry about. Trust me I was worried because I didn't trust that this wouldn't be a issue. Did I tell you that the repairman broke his $75 manual hand held snake. Well the next day I go into the office to pay my RENT. When I'm handed my receipt I noticed there's a $300 charge it doesn't say what its for. So I ask the Young Lady who took my payment as well as issued me my rent receipt what is this additional $300 for she goes to the computer and looks up my account and there it is $300 for a brush that apparently was what was stuck in my toilet that the repairman found. In the toilet that they weren't going to have to break and I wasn't going to have to pay for the new toilet that was installed. Here's where I have a problem. I was told that 1 that the toilet would not be broken and I wouldn't be charged for the new toilet. I was charged the cost of the toilet, the cost of the repairman' s broken equipment as well as the install. My problem is I was given a $300 that I was told I wouldn't receive and I've sent email's I've left numerous phone messages trying to get this matter resolved. So I'm writing this in a review hoping that the 1's who have hired this office to know that not all the tenants are difficult. I happen to be a tenant who helps maintain my property's outside. It took Me almost 2 months to get 2 garbage pail's which still aren't enough. But that's just some of my experience with the New Office Staff. 😪
