image Very crooked shop. All the coupons in the world aren’t enough for me to go back.

image Went in for a wheel alignment check because they had a '$30 off wheel alignment' coupon on the web site. Added an oil change to it. A wheel alignment check only is $59.99! Then if you do wheel alignment, that is another $109.99 (the going rate in the area is $90). Many competitors offer free alignment checks. My opinion: as sometimes wheel alignment is not necessary, then everybody should start with a check, and then if necessary, a wheel alignment should be done. In that case, waive the alignment check fee, and just charge the customer the wheel alignment fee. It took some checking and prodding to get to that. I did need a wheel alignment and I was charged the alignment fee only; good. The oil change was $69.99 ($40 elsewhere). They called to sell me tire balancing. How would they know tire balancing is needed? They claimed they checked one tire and it was out of balance. $49.99 for four wheels. I did not feel any vibration driving the car, so I declined. My thought was that they were just selling unnecessary services, but I cannot prove until I have it double-checked by another shop. When I came to pay the bill, the guy just told me the total, which seemed higher than expected. Turns out there is a $14.40 PPE/SHOP FEE (my regular mechanic does not charge that). I pay and say to myself to never go back there. I forget my coupon :-(. I walk out, sit in the car, and remembering the coupon two minutes later, I go back into the shop. I asked them to apply the $30 coupon. No can do sir, but we could give you a free oil change or something like that. I say I will not be coming back, so I just want my money. No can do. So I said I would just write a complaint on Google, like all the other unhappy customers. Done. Too bad I read the Google reviews AFTER I'd dropped off the car... Realistically, a wheel alignment and an oil change should be $130 plus tax. I paid $207. You decide for yourself. I do most of my car maintenance; I just added oil changes to that thanks to Midas in Bridgewater. Services: Oil change, Wheel alignment
