It's January 26th, after multiple calls to customer service Casella hasn't picked up my trash a single time since 2023. If you want your trash picked up choose a different service, they don't have a monopoly anymore in Salem, NH.

Two years ago I left this rating of 1 star. Look at the reviews you are getting they are terrible.
Today I canceled my services with Casella after an absolutely terrible experience.
In which the manager actually said "im sorry this was a bad misunderstanding, I wish I could fix this..."
This company does nothing to help their customers.

Casella bought stateline. I stuck with them for a time but had to end the relationship. Theyre only interested in acquiring all our local businesses and replacing good quality local business with terrible corporate low quality. They just bought Pinard who I am with now so I will be finding another alternative. Wont be doing business with these crooks.
I was out of work and Pinard was flexible. Casella cancels your pickup immediately and they dont care if youre down and out. Service: Trash removal & disposal

For the most part the service is pretty straight forward. Every week I have a certain day for pickup. The problem lies in the winter, where they are a wild card on snow days. Most times they have the sense to cancel a scheduled trash pickup due to a storm and delay it until the following day.
However, today were having a snow storm where naturally I kept the bins in because I didnt want to find my trash scattered by the plow over a quarter mile. And because they usually cancel due to inclement weather. But wouldnt you know, theres that wild card thing I mentioned, as some genius in charge ran the trucks on schedule. None of my neighbors bins are out either.
I called Casella and ask them to send the truck back right as it was passing my house. I dragged my trash to the street in the heavy snow and saw the truck come back up the hill but never back down to grab my trash. Well most of the day has gone by with no return. Perhaps its the continued bad weather? Of course it is!
Casella please make better judgements in terms of bad weather and if you make the wrong call, mistakes happen, but come on here. Send a text stating pickups didnt go to plan due to the weather and therefore youll be repeating the pickup cycle the next day. Some of us cant wait a week for another round of trash pickup because you hit us with fees for bags being outside the barrel.
