But during the open house an agent from the Peterson’s came in and while our agent was paying attention, would trash talk our house pointing out nonexistent issues. The following day our agent received an offer for $75K below our asking price from the Peterson’s.
Peterson’s Realty is well known in the town of peterborough for inflating home prices they represent and underestimating properties their clients are interested in. Long story short, we didn’t counter offer and 9 months later sold the property for $15k over asking to a different buyer from a different agency.
I’m n a side note, if considering to move to the Monadnock region, look at other towns besides Peterboro. Terrible school system and taxes are way too high.
