      If you ask any of our residents what stands out about Benchmark, they are likely to say the meaningful relationships that are created at our communities. This is evidenced by the letters and emails that our founder, Tom Grape, receives on a regular basis. Over twenty years ago, CEO Tom Grape recognized the need for setting a new standard—or benchmark, if you will. He saw the opportunity of creating an exceptional living experience for seniors built on connections, bonds, and quality care. He knew that what seniors wanted most were to feel safe, fulfilled, dignified and respected so by inspiring a “people first” philosophy, Tom created a culture of positive and rewarding human connection—not only for residents and families but for his associates as well. After all, a happy and inspired staff creates a happy and inspiring environment. We, at Benchmark Senior Living, have a heartfelt desire to get to know you and are innately curious about the fabric of your life stories.       image I wish there were more staff at the Arbors. I wish that the outside contractors were responsive to our needs. NEPS Prescriptions has been horrible to this point. I would not recommend a resident use this company. Rooms need to be cleaned more often, especially bathrooms. I have been up to visit my dad quite a few times and the bathroom was disgusting. Again outside services need to step it up as far as communication, the barber shop as well.

      image The 2021 Gold “Readers Choice Award” from NH’s largest newspaper, the Union Leader, says it all. The many, many letters received at the Arbors from happy past and present family members and workers, by far outshines the very few who disagree, and I care about those who disagree as well - that’s the kind of workers the owner is looking for, those with “a servants heart” stated in our training.
      I love seeing the relatives who even after they lost their loved ones coming back to visit the Arbors to say hello and even join in on holiday celebrations. The Arbors has a home like atmosphere the original owner intended who designed it with his own mother in mind. The Arbors specializes in assisting those with memory care issues - and does a great job, speaking as a worker there and in the field, with many other job choices available to me and past employers in this field of care since 2006.

      image My husband was a resident at The Arbors of Bedford for a little over a year and a half. During that time he received excellent care at the hands of a caring, loving, well-qualified staff. I never had a moment's worry over if he was being well taken care of. The staff always responded in a positive way to any requests that I had. Most importantly, my husband liked being a member of their community. I highly recommend The Arbors to anyone who has a loved one in need of dementia care.

      image My mom is a resident of Benchmark, and I could not have picked a better " home" for her. The love and compassion that the staff at the Arbors demonstrate is incomparable. My mom is always well dress, groomed and most importantly happy. While I am unable to visit with my mom due to Covid, I know all the staff treat her, as well as all other residents, like their own family member. It is saddening to see any negative comment towards the Arbors, especially after how hard these staff members have worked, and putting themselves at risk to take care of our loved ones during Covid. I will always recommend the Arbors to anyone looking for a facility. I can't thank the Arbors enough for everything they have done.
