Absolutely the WORST service I have ever experienced with a so called "professional" business. They had to come out 8 times to fix pool pump. 3 "new" pool pumps later, that would only work for a month at best, would overheat and quit working. Finally, after all of these failed attempts the home warranty company agreed to send out a different pool service company. I suggest if you need your pool serviced DO NOT USE Southwest pool and spa repair. Unless you don't mind waiting weeks for them to finally show up. As well using the cheapest parts that break soon after installing them. A complete waste of time!

sadly we had no choice the warranty company sent us JOSE , this guy had NO test equipment , He switched on the pool pump switch the motor makes a humming noise , He said I need a new pump and new pluming , that is NOT covered with the warranty, I need to pay for it, I said goodbye , I easily took off the pump and had it tested , it was perfect , no problem, I put it back on and found a broken wire , I repaired the wire and the pump worked perfect still working months later , So if I went with JOSE's diagnosis I would have a new pump and new plumbing and it still would not work , and to top it all off the warranty company wants $75 for the expert JOSE trip to my house and his 2 minute WRONG!!! diagnosis. I left a 1 star but really he needs a ZERO star or a negative star, TERRIBLE!!!

My equipment stopped working. Called my home warranty company (Fidelity) and was referred to Southwest Pool & Spa. The appointment was scheduled promptly and the tech showed up on time. That was the conclusion of the positive experience with this company. My mother board and pump shut down and my heater stopped working. The tech told me it was "chemical abuse" and tested to water. The pH was fine and the chlorine was a little bit off (less than a half shade from ideal). Tech told me all spas have technology that will shut down the system if chemicals are off. I've never heard of this feature, especially on a spa that's 16 years old. He packed up and left. Never fixed my spa. I immediately called Fidelity to request a "2nd opinion" Fidelity advised me that as soon as they got the Work Order detailing Southwest findings, they could refer to a 2nd company. Fast forward 4 weeks and 9 phone calls, Southwest NEVER sent the Work Order over and I had to get Fidelity management involved to override protocol and approve a 2nd opinion. When the 2nd company came out, I explained the situation. The tech laughed and asked "Was it Southwest?" I said yes. The tech then explained how Southwest is known for lying to homeowners (specifically regarding chemical abuse) to avoid doing repairs and keeping costs low for home warranty companies. This results in Southwest ranking high on list of companies to get dispatched for warranty work. Avoid this company at all costs. They are not honest and will avoid repairs by any means necessary.

BEWARE....Lousy pool company!!! I too had no choice on selecting this company to repair our pool motor since our home warranty was calling the shots. After reading their poor reviews we were hesitant but, had no choice. The employees at Southwest, from the receptionist to the foreman, show no sense of urgency or dedication to customer service and satisfaction. They take their sweet time to return calls, schedule repairs, and do the work. When they finally show up, the quality of their work is mediocre, at best. God forbid they're called back to redo their work. They are full of excuses why the breakage is not their fault in hopes of squirming out of their 30 day warranty. In the meantime, our pool has no water circulating to prevent algae from growing in 100+ degree weather. Southwest has gone so far as to lie to the warranty company to make us the bad guy and claiming the pool motor broke because rain got into the casing as a result of the motor not having a cover (not something required in Nevada, recommended by our pool builder or Leslie Pool Supply, or known to us in our 42 years of having pools in our homes built by three other builders). What a bunch of hooey!!!! Southwest even had the audacity to send in a report to the home warranty company in such a manner as to cause the warranty company to CANCEL our claim. Now in Southwests pee brains, their responsibility has been fulfilled. Its time to contact the Nevada Contractors Board and the Office of Consummer Affairs.
