Durango Canyon and Olen Living Properties have unfair and illegal tents rental practices. With the many complaints about this company a tenant class action lawsuit is inevitable.This company and it's employees like Marisa Aguilar and Tiffany Le need to be investigated by Nevada Renters Assoc. and fined to the fullest extent of the law for their participation in creating fraudulent charges to vacating residents. They have taken advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic and charged a significant portion my security deposit for items not listed in security agreement or NRS code as allowed. Due to Covid-19 pandemic we were forced vacate the property upon scheduled move out date by locking the keys inside so management could complete their own unsupervised walkthrough. I am very familiar with rental property protocol so I have before and after photos showing that property was left in immaculate condition despite not being provided normal tenate checklist after requesting over 4 times.We received our move in deposit refund check 20 days after vacating for amount of $381.87 and it is grossly incorrect. When I received the check I was charged for carpet replacement, carpet pet seal (even though I paid pet rent for 2 years(, non refundable pet deposit, etc and my pet has never used the restroom in indoor premises), water, sewer, trash and a admin fee. The NRS code and their Rental Agreement I signed stated the security deposit would only be charged for default rent, repair damages other than normal wear and tear and cleaning.We provided full deposit for the amount of $950 the appropriate full amount be returned $660.79 minus $150 that Olen/Durango has sent in an attempt to deter this matter from being further pursued and the $51 process for sewer/trash etc. There was no found reason to keep the majority of the deposit as the property was returned in perfect tenant check out condition(nothing damaged beyond normal wear and tear) according to general property management vacant policy.I have requested over 5 times for photo and record proof of their claims while being ignored.I have documents to view if necessary. Olen/Durango Canyon properties have victimized tenants previously with similar bogus charges & I refuse to be one of them! The items they charged for are not listed either on NRS codes or their agreement as being allowed. Nobody is moving into this once luxury now run down complex and I will not be a victim accruing the cost of Durango's overhead for doing shady business.
