Whatever employees work first thing in the morning scanning the mail dropped inside the lobby need to be fired. This person(s) has magically made 11 of my eBay sale shipments disappear the last 5-6 weeks. I dropped 6 or 7 packages inside the lobby drop box between 12 and 2 am September 1st and they disappeared - never scanned to date. Another five that were dropped out front in the 3 blue boxes also disappeared - none ever scanned. These 16 lost envelopes have cost me around $300. 15 of them had tracking - none scanned! One package had $170 worth of merchandise that was insured and not scanned, so that insurance doesn't take effect w/o a scan. I opened a case online TWICE and the lady who contacted me from across the country has done absolutely nothing (Cynthia Fout, WALKERVILLE, MI). Don't you guys have cameras inside the back where only employees are? Because of this situation I have to drive nearly 5 miles away to another post office every single day to ensure my eBay sales gets scanned and reach their destination, even though I live two blocks from this post office. The postmaster needs to make sure the employees are doing their job. And if he/she is unable to do that, then obviously they shouldn't be postmaster. I have between 1,500 and 2000 eBay shipments per year and all of them are shipped through the USPS. Since I moved here in October of last year I have routinely had shipments disappear without ever being scanned. Before it was one every once in awhile, but the last 6 weeks 16 have vanished! All of my shipments are packaged in identical 6x9 manila envelopes with eBay tape on the back and a shipping label printed off eBay (except for the occasional flat rate padded envelope). Are your employees mad I'm giving them a lot of work and throwing my packages away in retaliation? What other explanation is there? Occasionally some of my packages would not be scanned at the post office, but they would always be scanned when they reach the local distribution center. But these 16 were were never scanned at all. 🤔 They other post office on Decatur scans every single one of my packages. By the way, the caucasian middle-aged man who picks up the drop boxes in front of this location as well as the mail from the Albertsons is extremely rude and not people friendly. He needs to be fired or retire. He has a major attitude problem.

I've dropped a few packages to the in office bin and they just went straight missing. I told them the specific day and time that I dropped them off, they said they couldn't find them. Whoever handled those packages must did sth to it. If they check the surveillance would surely find out.

It depends on the time of day that you go there but recently they added several more people at the counter which is quite helpful. Most days there are very long waits in lines that go clear down the hole. They do have a self-serve machine there to use that can be helpful.
