RICARDO and I have recently lost both of his parents. COMPASSION CARE was like a breath of fresh air. We particularly liked JAMES as he was a great listener, and always eager to put some positive energy our way. Its never easy, losing someone you love, thanks for all the help in dealing with our emotions!

Compassion Care stepped in and provided the support needed when I didnt think I had any options. I was at my wits end trying to care for my family & mother and find a safe space and 24 hr care for her. Their team readily responded helping me to get her regulated, and then proceeded to provide amazing care through the end of her life. They were extremely responsive, communicative, supportive, and loving. I highly recommend CompasionCare for anybody in need of care for themselves or their family.

I could not have been happier with the care my Mom received during her care with compassion care. The team was amazing.

I never completed the process of hiring your company, due to the fact that your person doing the admitting was extremely rude, completely unprofessional and totally uncaring. He was trying to strong arm us into letting them take my husband to their facility after I told them we didnt need hospice care that the hospital told us we did not need to leave, that my husband and we could stay as long as needed because my husband would not survive the move. He had me sign forms asked for my husbands SS number but I did not give it to him, because he was bullying me into assigning hem to take over his care. He remained in the hospital after I asked him to get out of my husbands room because in a very loud voice he kept saying you need us because he could die in 5 minutes or an hour or last longer and the hospital will kick you out after three days. He continues to walk in and out of his room to ask for his social security number so he could sign him up. He upset my husband so badly by his rude inconsiderate loud speaking, that he became extremely agitated while he was taking his last breaths. I ran out to the nurses station to ask for more medication to help him calm down, when he saw me he came over and got between me and the nurse I was speaking to and said that that was his job. (No one from hospice was ever in the room to assist us at all) He said he was the only one that could order the medication and walked away. The nurse reached up to touch my hand and winked at me and mouth Ill get it Im assuming that he continued interfering because I had to go back out after over an hour and ask a nurse when the medication was coming because my husband was completely agitated and it was very traumatic for us to see him in distress. After a little while one of his wonderful nurses came in with the two medications and administered them, my husband passed as soon as I told him not to worry about me or our two sons that we were there and the boys told him that they would take care of me and not worry. He took three ragged breaths and died. So I would not recommend that hospice service unless they fire that man. Theyre lucky I dont contact an attorney for the trauma and pain they cause us during an already excruciating time with their completely unethical treatment. I going to contact Medicare and tell them what happened in case they try to file a claim for payment.

My father was under the care of CompassionCare Hospice for eight months until his death in February 2023. Initially, hospice was recommended to us by his assisted living facility when his insurance was unable to provide home health nursing care for bed sores. We were reluctant to go this route because it felt like giving up. CompassionCare educated us on what hospice could provide and that we could opt out of hospice any time. We signed up and never once regretted that decision. The hospice team caring for my father, RN Marcelo, CNA Al, social worker Alison, Chaplain Mary and Dr. Whitmore were excellent and kept in regular communication with us and answered all our questions. My fathers quality of life immediately improved and I believe his life was extended by several months due to the high quality of care delivered by his care team. When he did pass, CompassionCare worked closely with his assisted living caregivers to make sure he was as comfortable as possible. Following his death, the bereavement services stepped in to provide counseling to us (thank you, James) and check on how we were doing. We are forever grateful to everyone at CompassionCare and recommend them highly.
