Terrible at keeping up with you

My wife had a tooth extracted here on Jan 11th, on this same day we were told by both the dentist and reception staff that they were sending a referral to our insurance provider for further care. Two weeks later my wife called back to check on the referral and was told by reception staff that it had been sent and that we should be seeing it soon. Today 2/7/2018, almost 30 days from seeing the dentist. We were informed by the reception staff that this was never sent and that we need to make an appointment for a full dental inspection before they can send the what we need. Which we could have been told on Jan 11th. Really very disappointing, we will be going someplace else.

Dr. Sam Hashtroudi is a great dentist and I've had too many to count! The first time I went there he had to extract a tooth. After the procedure Dr. Hashtroudi called me later that evening to check on me which no dentist ever had done. Also, after my procedures I get the same standard of excellence and care!! Sam and his staff have gone over and beyond in so many ways!! At times they get busy but its a safe clean and open atmosphere. My daughter also gets her teeth cleaned and has not had a cavity since starting there!! I've also always been able to be seen with emergency issue's! I have horrible teeth and have had just about every procedure done and this is the best office I've ever gone to. Currently I'm in a full upper denture and the staff has helped me at every step, several extractions, sizing denture, resizing denture, cleanings and I've never had one bad moment. It's been 2 years and this is my dentist and you can't go wrong by starting there. They accept amerigrouo which is huge. So, if your regular "people peoples" this is your spot!!!

I usually go to their office in Green Valley, which is fantastic usually. But, they didn't have an appointment open for a deep cleaning open until the end of May. I don't have enough time to wait until then. So they told me to call their sister offices to see if I could get in sooner at one of them. So I call their office on Centennial, nothing until the end of April. Call their office on Smoke Ranch, they have something available in the next few days, Perfect. We drive alllll the way from boulder city to the smoke ranch office, which is a full tank of gas there and back for us. So, we get there right, and I WASN'T EVEN IN THEIR SYSTEM. The lady I talked to on the phone a few days before didn't put me down for an appointment. So we ask them when their soonest available appointment for a deep cleaning is. It was like a week after that. So we made the appointment. So, lady prints me out an appointment card thing right? With my appointment stuff on it like date and time. Aaaand guess what's on the back of it? SOMEONE ELSES INFORMATION. Like their name, address, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, where they work, phone number for home and work, their insurance information, what they've had done, and how much it was. It was ridiculous. We called the person and are mailing them the paper Anyway, I go in for the deep cleaning right, when I get there, they say I'm late, that my appointment was an hour before. Which was absolute bullshit. And then they tell me my appointment was for a regular cleaning, not the deep cleaning that I made the appointment for. So I start freaking out becuase i only have UNTIL THE END OF JUNE TO GET ALL THIS DONE. The hygienist lady comes out and just tells me to come on back, okay cool. So I go back and she says she'll do 1/4th of the deep cleaning and I'll come back in a few days to get the other 3/4s done. Cool. So she gets ready to put a needle in my mouth, and I freak out. Cause I'm deathly afraid of needles. I'm having a massive panic attack. She says okay, we don't have to do it today. So the hygienist lady personally schedules me an appointment for the deep cleaning a few days later. The day of my appointment, we get a call from the office saying I need to pay a 300+ dollar co-pay. Like, what do you mean i need to pay a co-pay? I am 100% insured for ANY dental work until my birthday in June. No co-pays. No nothing. According to the office, I wasn't insured for dental. Like, whaddya mean I'm not insured? Apparently my age was the problem. Apparently I didn't have dental insurance through the state of Nevada. And then lady said I had to pay the co-pay because my insurance DENIED the deep cleaning. Come to find out that THEY NEVER SENT IN THE PRE AUTHORIZATION IN. And at the appointment before, they were going to do work on me without running it through my insurance. So its a DAMN GREAT THING I HAD THAT PANIC ATTACK. Needless to say, DON'T COME HERE.
