Ross Dress for Less

Please beware of shopping here. I was here last night at about 8pm shopping for clothes for my sisters birthday. After about 30 mins I was approached by the manager on duty Sheryl/Cheryl who stated You can go ahead and put your items back and leave before the cops get here. I asked her what she was talking about and she said I was stealing. I opened my jacket and offered to let her check the very small bag I was carrying. She didnt check either so I asked why she was declining to search me and what evidence she had that I was stealing. And she told me well youve stolen here before.. so apparently this location calls the cops on people who offer to let them do a bag search. What would have happened if the cops had shown up? They would have quickly learned that I was definitely NOT stealing. Just trying to shop in peace. I have been a customer of this store for almost ten years, have probably spent thousands of dollars here over the years. I repeatedly asked what she was referring to and why I was being asked to leave without buying the items I had and she had no explanation or answer. This woman followed me through the store for over 30 mins, standing uncomfortably close to me, and then berated and harassed me with absolutely no reason to think Id been stealing or evidence that Id ever done so. This was obviously very embarrassing and uncomfortable. I put most of the things down and chose not buy them because I was so anxious to remove myself from the store. Like I said, I was getting things for my sisters bday so I ended up purchasing two tank tops and facial cleansing wipes because I needed a gift. But looking back I wish I hadnt given this establishment my money. I was literally crying while standing in line and the only positive experience was the cashier was very nice lol. I have always loved this location. I live less than a mile away, and I used to work next door. Also good friends with someone that works here. But wont ever be back. I left messages for the district manager and store manager and havent been called back yet. Which is unsurprising to me since they are allowing this woman to work there and manage their store. So disgusting, embarrassing, and just not okay. There isnt a resolution to reach, I simply wont ever shop here again. I really cant believe this woman still has a job. If you read other reviews there are people with similar experiences about being accused of theft. Unbelievable.

Bad costumer service and strange insinuations by the Manager, questioning why Ross's label was not attached to the dress, today I went to return a dress that my wife did not like, the dress was GUESS with its original labels NEW and attached to the dress, only the ROSS label was not attached, I imagine that the girl from the other store unintentionally took it off when she remove the padlock dress, so they did not want to receive it back, I had to go look for the same dress and fortunately I found it and the labels were exactly the same, since the MANAGER told me that I would have to go to the branch where I bought it and that they check the cameras the moment I bought it WHAT?? In the end, that's the only way I managed to return the dress. Please take education classes and costumer service!!!
