Store Manager-Jonathan's refusal to aid stranded battery customers due to his own anger issues and lack of respect and customer service knowledge. Sunday 2/27/2022, 11:30am My name is Robert Buchanan Jr. My wife became stranded due to a malfunctioning "Warranty Battery" that I had purchased on 10/09/2020! "Jonathan", the individual charged in providing such horrible customer service by not taking care of the my wife and I, and would later refuse in allowing my wife and I the purchase of a new battery Made it very clear to me that he was indeed this location's Store Manager and rather then helping us after the battery had tested at 10 volts! He insisted that we would have to leave the battery with him for 24 hours for the purpose of charging and retesting! "Mind you", that we were both stranded at this point because I had came with her as I was advised that I would have to return to the store in which I had purchased the battery. Honestly, I don't know which is worst; "The fact that Store manager Jonathan wasn't willing to be a decent human being, or the fact that he was rude to my wife by refusing to provide her with his name(Store Mgt.), District Managers and Corporate information. "Consumers Beware, Store Manager-Jonathan at this location will not provide hassle free warranty replacement for product's purchased at his location!" EMERGENCY OR NOT!!! PS. GM. Jonathan came out to the car and tested the just-over 16 month old battery himself, the battery tested at 10 Volts for a 12 volt system!!! 03/02/2022 UPDATE ON CUSTOMER COMPLAINT.03/02/2022 "Consumer - Beware," Reference: Batteries Plus Bulbs. Below you will find Owner and upper managements way of conflict resolution. As I explained in my previous complaint, it was not "Battery Plus Bulbs" policy that my wife and I had a problem with! It was being misinformed by the store manager and the mistreatment of my wife and myself that is the issue! My wife is an attorney and was due in court Monday morning! "We we're stranded at the store due to the fact that the warranty battery was still in our car. Had my wife not been stranded and requiring me to rescue her with a jump at church on Sunday morning, I would not have accompanied my wife to "Batteries Plus Bulbs S. Eastern & Serene location! The fact that Frank M., Business Owner of this particular Franchised location is aware and supportive of the store managers behavior and mistreatment of certain warranty customers (See - Other Yelp and Google reviews; Where as other customers were treated fair and their warranties honored and the company's battery policy (Leaving the battery at the location so that the battery may be charged for a period of 24 hours before the battery may be warranted). Is a direct reflection and indication of the type of culture that is being promoted as a common business practice of Batteries Plus Bulbs (See - Business Owners Customer Resolution Below)! "It has been made clear to my wife and I that "Customer Retention, Resolution and Human Morality toward the consumers in the stores community is not apart of Batteries Plus Bulbs, company's mission statement!" Our team advised that the battery would need to be fully recharged to be properly tested, as per our warranty program. If the charging system is not working properly in the vehicle, it would not be maintaining the battery appropriately and could evidence similar issues as described. This can be verified through testing the battery appropriately. Please allow for the proper charging and testing to occur in order to make an informed decision on the next steps. Thank you.]
