The bad reviews written are written by plan participants who do not understand the process. The TPA firm has to abide by IRS regulations, DOL regulations, as well as adhere to the specifications of the plan document. In no case would Lebenson ever be responsible for writing a check to a participant, they process the distribution requests and then submit them to be processed by whichever investment firm the plan uses.

Beyond Impressed. Our organization has been utilizing Lebenson as our TPA for our 401k plan. This decision was made after having a less than favorable experience with our previous TPA....We could not be happier. The prompt responses, the attention to detail, the thoroughness—everything an organization could want or need in a TPA along with exceptional customer service. When I say that we have been beyond impressed—Lebenson has exceeded our expectations, followed through on all stated deliverables, and did I mention their attention to detail and thoroughness?? When dealing with an organizations 401k plan those two characteristics are priceless! This has been months of excuses and blaming others for not getting the job done! I have clearly expressed I want to recieve my money. Papers do not get managed in a timely manner. My impression is they really do not know what they are doing here. To get answers I have had to go looking for help at their office due to lack of returned phone calls. I am still waiting! How much longer will they delay me getting a check?
