        I want publicly praise The Fox, Imes & Crosby firm for helping me through the process of my situation.         I received a letter in the mail from this firm informing me that Clark County Recorder's office has registered a Notice of Default field by my lender with the intention of foreclosing on my home and I had 4 months to take appropriate action to prevent it. As a new mom with two small children, I had very limited free time and was already stressed. This did not help the situation as while I am sure I was current on my mortgage payments, became one more thing on my to do list to investigate and call. It took me two days to speak to someone from my lender and they assured me that I was current in my payments and not in default. This firm sends this type of fear-mongering mail out to people giving out misinformation that at best stresses out busy people who have to take time to put more things on their to do lists. At worst could really push the vulnerable and misinformed to their trap and get even more bamboozled.

      Ms. Gan,I am sorry that you felt that our advertising was fear-mongering. That was not our intent. Having 4 kids myself, I understand how stressful having a new little one can be.We do use a service that pulls the publicly recorded Notices of Default from the Clark County Recorder’s site. We then send a mailer, which has been approved by the Nevada Bar Association, to the names and addresses listed on the publicly recorded documents. Our intent is to quickly reach people whose property is in distress and offer our assistance, because many of the options available to homeowners have very short time frames in which to respond. And once those time frames pass, the options to resolve a default dwindle quickly. We are not trying to scare you or anyone we send the mailings to. We just want to be sure people don’t let opportunities slip by without knowing what options they have.I am sorry that our advertisement caused you additional distress. Congratulations on your newest little one. We wish you all the best going forward.
