Hi Lauren - We understand the significance of inspection appointments, particularly during move-out, and we want to apologize for any inconvenience caused by the last-minute rescheduling. Our team member encountered an unexpected situation, prompting the change in appointment timing. We regret any disruption this may have caused to your plans. Our records do show that the rescheduling was communicated to you. As far as your deposit return, unfortunately, based on our evaluation we did need to make some deductions. We were waiting on estimates to get your deposit amount determined and returned to you in a timely manner. Your deposit had deductions due to the unauthorized sale of certain items within the rental property, like the deep freeze, as well as landscaping removal, and broken doors. Just a friendly reminder for all our tenants: selling or disposing of property that belongs to the owner or the property management company without getting the green light first is a no-go. It's actually against the rental agreement, and it can lead to deductions from the security deposit. If you have further questions or you want to chat further about the deductions made from your security deposit, please don't hesitate to send us a message.
