They cause nothing but headaches. They can't provide information when needed, the 1800 number will not verify me. They refuse to service my loan in accordance with federal regulations.
Some Paul guy that is another loan officer was swearing at me then hung up. The most unprofessional bank I have ever had to deal with. Use someone else.

In the beginning everything was great. Chris helped me through the home buying process and worked with my realtor to make it a smooth easy transfer. I haven't had to think much about paying my mortgage for almost 6 years. Recently gateway sold my loan and the new company will not honor the same payment plan to auto withdrawal every other week when I get paid. Even though all correspondence involved in the lead up to the loan transfer said nothing would change. I'm probably going to have to sell my house. Living off $200 for the first 2 weeks of every month is not sustainable. I have other bills like utilities to pay out for those paychecks as well, along with groceries, gas, and other essentials. I also liked having the support of a local office and not having to go through a website or call center only. 15+ mins of automated bs to get to a person in customer service with the new loan company.

My husband and I were first time home buyers and gateway mortgage worked with us throughout the whole process. Lisa, the lender we worked with specifically, answered so many questions, was so patient with us, and her and her team worked quickly and throughly. We would recommend this company and Lisa White to anyone we know buying a house!
