Mediocre golf in the heart of STL.
Pretty good if you go to the driving range or putting green for practice, otherwise not a good venue.
The club house staff is always a bit on the snooty side which is funny considering it is the worst club house. Starting with the fact there is one toilet for all of the golfers to use. Naturally it is male dominated and the bathroom smells of pis$, is dingy, and youll be forced to touch the seat to put the lid down every single time (if you are a sitter). Just not the thing you want out of a public bathroom.
Depending on the time of year there may or may not be any water on the course. So youll need to pack for your time there and no one ever comes around offering drinks or food.
The golf carts are on their last leg, beat up, leather seats ripped, always covered in a layer of dirt and other people trash. Absolutely no effort is taken to clean or maintain these other than putting gas in them. Please update these with electric carts!!
Additionally, all the range balls are never EVER sorted. The staff with pluck nice balls out of your already purchased basket because they collect balls they like or whatever nonsense they say to take a ball they would rather have than you have (very childish). At least 5 or more balls per basket (depending on the size) will be completely unusable- split, frayed, etc. so you dont get what you pay for. Mats at the driving range are on their last leg too.
Also, be weary if it rains a lot a few days before your half or full round because it floods and youll be golfing in muddy socks. There are no signs posted, no discounted play, no roped off areas, nothing to indicate an acknowledgement of the course conditions.
Just things to know before you go!
Better off playing anywhere within a 30 mim drive for a more wholesome experience, unless you just need a little practice and dont mind some people dressing like they just left a frat party.
