Lucky for this place. It was the only place I could find for a last-minute one-way rental to get home after another company canceled on me.

If you want to be berated, this is the place for you! The man who runs the South County Avis desk is the single most disrespectful and aggressive customer service rep I have ever encountered. After waiting with 2 other customers about 10 minutes at the front desk without a representative appearing, I walked to the rear of the building to see if the Avis rep was cleaning cars (as the sign on the front desk indicated). While searching for him, an employee from the neighboring company offered to help me find the Avis rep. When I returned to the front desk, the rep had appeared so I thanked the gentleman and told him the rep had appeared. The Avis rep screamed at me, What are you doing?! Dont talk to him. He doesnt work here. (Literally screamed.) As I began to explain that he offered to help me find him, the Avis rep interrupted me saying, I told you not to talk to him. He proceeded to assist the two customers in front of me (one of whom acknowledged how and unprofessional he was) and continued to verbally attack me a third time when it was my turn for service. I told the man the conversation was over and that he was being rude to which he hollered, No, you are rude. Dont you understand that I am the only person here and sometimes I have to use the bathroom? Dont talk to the other company again. Customer service is what distinguishes companies, and this customer service certainly sets Avis apart. I will never do business with Avis again.
