If I could give 0 stars I would. Not reliable AT ALL. The first time I called he said hed put me down and call me back with an appointment a month passed and nothing. I call a second time and he sets an appointment which he never showed so I call him again and get oh I must have missed you find another career you suck at this one.

Made 2 separate appointments. First time, he never showed. Second time, he called at the time of appointment & said he was on his way - never showed. Very UNRELIABLE.

I am writing this review to express my disappointment and frustration.
To begin, I booked the appointment with Reliable Appliance Repair (RAR) because he had done great work for my grandfather in the past and my grandfather had recommended him to me. I set up the consultation via phone call. For background knowledge, we wanted our microwave vented out of our home. When the home was built, a microwave vent was never installed. RAR came to our house, did the consultation, and gave us an up front price for the project, which was $300. He expressed to us that day that cash flow was important and wanted $100 up front. Although we were not prepared to pay on the day of the consultation, I wrote a check for $100. We set up the follow up appointment where RAR would do the job and he would receive the remaining $200.
On the first time he was supposed to come, he stated he could not come because of the weather (The weather was supposed to be bad, so I was flexible and okay with this. I also live 1 hour away from where he is located, so this made sense.), so we rescheduled for the following week. The following week, he stated he could not come because it was going to be raining (again, since he would be working inside and outside my home, I was okay with this). Finally we rescheduled for a third time. Each time that we rescheduled, RAR could never give us a time that he would come. For example, he would tell us to "give him a call a couple days ahead" so he could set up a time.
On the third time that he rescheduled, he told us two days prior that he would be at our home at 11:00. He showed up at 11:15 to do the job. As he began working, he started moving the stove, microwave, washing machine, and dryer (at the time, we thought this was all necessary for the job). He then started asking my husband if he could borrow his tools (my husband is a handy man, but didn't have the proper equipment to complete the job). With what tools my husband had, RAR attempted the job. Instead of using a proper saw on our home, he used my husband's hacksaw that was not efficient to cut perfect lines through dry wall. Prior to this, RAR asked my husband if he could borrow BOTH of our ladders since he did not bring one at all. Please know that we did not mind loaning out our materials, but we were under the impression that RAR had brought his own since we were hiring him to complete the job.
About 30 minutes later, RAR said "well, I wish you guys lived closer. I forgot all my tools and I won't be able to finish the job today." Again, my husband and I were disappointed. RAR leaves our house with everything out of place and our appliances in a location to where they were not usable. Therefore, we could not use our stove or microwave. RAR tells us that we will come back the following day to finish the job, which was on a Sunday at 11:00. My husband and I missed church and cancelled our plans with our friends on behalf of this appointment.
On Sunday, RAR calls us at 10:20 to tell us that he can not complete the job. He says that he will be driving up to our home to gather his materials, put everything back into place, and leave. Naturally, I was not okay with this as he told us during the consultation that he would be able to complete the job for us.
