Friendly neighbors, wonderful staff, always greeted with a wave and a smile. Clean environment, great amenities, a place for my dog to run around off her leash. Been here 4 years now, and my boyfriend and I have no complaints. Although a soda machine in the clubhouse would be pretty sweet!! Jus saying ;)

Nice little apartment place that is centrally located in Columbia. Rent is affordable, neighbors are chill, and management/staff are very easy to work with. Been here a year and a half and haven't had any issues.

If you are considering coming to tiger village, here is what you can expect. I have a 1 bedroom on the second floor.
Rent- The rent is a little higher when compared to nearby ones, but for good reason. My friends all live in nearby complexes and I hear weekly complaints about their quality. Tiger Village does their best to accommodate low incomes and will work with you the best they can. Tiger village does require 2.5x the rent for collective income.
Utilities- The sewage/water is included on top of rent. Typically the water bill is about 20-30 dollars. The gas is only used by a heater. In the summer, gas is about a dollar a month, and about 50-70 in the winter. As a night worker and a gamer, I probably use more electricity than most, but it typically comes out to 90-110.
Maintenance - The repair guy is always quick to show up.. like "like a good neighbor" teleporting fast. He is super polite and even helped me move my mattress when he saw me and my grandfather struggling. You can always rely on a quick (AND PROPER) fix to any issues you have.
Pets- Tiger Village has a very generous pet policy and many take advantage of it. They even have a pet park that my dog loves to run around in. Sometimes we get impromptu puppy play dates with neighbors. They are also very serious about people not picking up after their dogs. They have bag stations at every building for convenience, but some people are very inconsiderate and just don't care. In the past, the office has hunted down people who do not clean up when it got really bad.
Pool- The complex has a shallow pool for usage. It is great for kids, but I wouldn't recommend it for taller individuals. It is always kept very clean and has a lot of space for tanning.
Laundry- They have a lot of units available, and there is almost always one open. Tiger village uses a pre-paid laundry card. All machines are $1.75 per use. They are not huge machines by any means but you can fit 1 average handheld basket at a time.
Gym- They have a small gym next to the laundry that allows you to work out while you wait. Personally, every time I have gone in there, a few machines were turned off each time. So don't expect them all to be operating 24/7. But they do have free weights, so that is nice.
Computer Lab- Are you a student who needs a computer to do your homework? Tiger Village has a small collection of good computers that are available 24/7.
Staff- The staff here are single handedly the SWEETEST people I have ever met. They are super kind and everyone I have spoken to loves them. During your tour, you may even be stopped a time or two by residents just saying hi. That is how much everyone loves them.
Security- There are cameras everywhere. There are cameras on almost every building corner. If something happens they can see it.
Fun Notes-
1.The kitchen cabinets are great for short people. The kitchen is actually the shortest part of the house, no more do I need a stool to get my flour. haha..
2.The heating in these apartments are very unbalanced, despite my greatest efforts, the bedroom gets the most heat, and the least A/C. It is always hotter in the bedrooms than everywhere else.
3. The bedroom windows are short and awkward. I currently use a single curtain turned sideways with butterfly clips keeping it from falling. As a night worker, keeping my room dark is a MUST. Instead of two windows that slide up, it is a single long window that slides sideways (not window a/c friendly)
