There are positive and negative for Plaza Dental Group. Positive first...Dr. Rash-great dentist! Great job. I would keep him as my dentist if he worked for a different dental group. Rita, Office Manager, also presented herself as very knowledgeable regarding dental procedures. Most importantly, Rita demonstrated excellent customer service when I spoke with her regarding my much less than pleasant or favorable interaction with Gabby Fischer, whom I assume is the front desk person/scheduler. Gabby tried to schedule appointments for me with dental hygienist months apart. When I attempted to explain it was my understanding the appointments should be separate but not so far apart, Gabby proceeded to tell me there is no other hygienist in any other dental office who could schedule my appointments closer together. I guess Gabby knows every other dental hygienist schedule in Missouri the way Gabby seemed to know exactly what my procedure entailed. She stated they do not schedule deep cleaning of entire mouth together because they didn't want to keep me in the office for 4 hours. No, Gabby, talk to Rita and she will explain it to you like she did to me. That way you're not giving patients misinformation while attempting to be a "know it all". After going all a few rounds with Gabby trying to "best" me even though I am the customer/patient, she stated she'd have the Treatment Coordinator, Tosha Jones give me a call on Tues, 9/6/21. Gabby did inform me that Tosha "couldn't pull any strings either". WOW!!! Thanks Gabby, I never expected anyone to pull any strings. I just want what I paid for (pre-paid for at that)!
Well, even though I was an upset & dissatisfied customer, instead of receiving a phone call from Tosha, the treatment Coordinator, I received a long text from Tosha stating "I understand you would like...". Well, Tosha, let me enlighten you. There is no way you could possibly understand what I would like because you didn't think it important or relevant enough to pick up the phone and call your unhappy customer. Instead, you texted me like I am your FaceBook friend or your Twitter follower. Wrong answer, Tosha-and poor, unprofessional customer service. Please take this advise from someone who has worked in customer service for 40 years. ALWAYS TAKE THE TIME...MAKE THE TIME...to have a heartfelt conversation with your customers who are happy OR unhappy. It could be worth a lot of future business, future referrals. Food for thought: without the customer, there is no treatment to coordinate.
Again, Dr, Rash gets 5 stars & 2 thumbs up. Rita, who made me feel so much better because she listened to me and empathized with me and apologized for any bad experienced I perceived. On top of that, Rita educated me regarding my procedure. because of Rita, I actually decided to keep the appointments. Yep, I decided to keep the appointments until I thought again about Gabby's tone with me and then the blow off I received from the unapologetic text from Tosha. I thought, "Norma, you need a LOT of dental work done that will cost a LOT of money. Norma, you have great dental insurance and thousands of dollars just sitting on a card to pay for expensive out of pocket expenses. Norma, you deserve a LOT better than what you got from Gabby & Tosha. So, I'll just spend my time and money elsewhere. Thanks, but no thanks, Plaza Dental.

I've had a less-than-stellar experience with Plaza Dental Group. From the wait time to check in to the lack of explanations of the procedures being done, I'm not impressed. Most recently, I had 2 fillings completed & I continued to experience sensitivity days after my visit. I called to make an emergency appointment, which was then cancelled the morning of due to the dentist & their team being out for sickness. I was concerned that they did not disclose if it was related to COVID. They also did not have capacity for another dentist to see me until the following week (even outside of my insurance network). Fun fact: they only have one dentist that is in-network with MetLife. I ended up going to another dental practice same-day & having my problem remediated. The fact that they could not have someone examine me sooner was greatly disappointing.

This worker named Sue was extremely rude to one of my associates. She not only insulted her many times and put her down and as a women of business she should know to keep her personal opinions to herself.
