Today I stood in an outdoor line (it's January and COLD) for 50+ minutes to get a COVID test. When I finally got inside and asked which test I was getting to know how much it would cost, I was met with an exasperated and annoyed "I have absolutely no idea." The most expensive of the tests listed on their site is $125, which I decided simply wasn't worth confirming whether or not I have COVID — after all, I'll need to quarantine from friends and family no matter what illness I have. This is particularly frustrating because there are ZERO other testing options available in town right now, outside of one that I could do 5 days from now...when I'll probably be better, anyway.
You may be thinking "but, insurance!" In February 2021, I went to the MU Urgent Care and showed my insurance card before going in to verify that I would indeed be covered. I was told yes, the university accepted my Cigna insurance. A month later, I received a bill for $300+. So I wasn't about to risk another massive bill.

The care is great but best to go somewhere else. Their billing is awful. We were sent to collections incorrectly multiple times. No notice sent. Each time we were able to call billing and after many hours of call center wait time it was retraced out of collections. Get great care somewhere else if you can.

Ask for an itemized billing statement as I, as well as my insurance company, was charged hundreds of dollars for two injections that I never received. You also receive two bills, one from “University Physicians” and then one for “MU Healthcare” or something to that effect so that they can charge you and your insurance twice for the services you receive, and apparently for services that you don’t receive as well. I also received my first bill with the erroneous charges for the injections on a Monday for the first time, and they were calling on Wednesday for payment. The bill did not state injections either, that was on paperwork that I received from my insurance company. It was under a general description on their billing. They have purposefully made their billing practices confusing as well as using vague descriptors on billing so YOU don’t know as a customer what they are charging for and the departments that you have to work with when THEY make a mistake are not coordinating at all to purposely make things near impossible to correct. It wasn’t like I received excellent care either, it was sub-par at best. The doctors are of low to mid quality.

Forcing 100% remote workers to be vaccinated or be fired is ridiculous. Nice way to treat your employees. Discrimination at its best.
