Every time i come back to lake taneycomo this is the fly shop i go to, they have everything i need, willing to give advice on the current conditions, and have guides available

Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, got our licenses, appropriate flies, and we were fishing just feet away from big beautiful rainbows just minutes away. Great fly shop.

I am new to fly fishing and was recommended to book a trip with a guide from River Run Outfitters. I was told that going on a guided fly-fishing trip would help me learn a lot. Well, this is very true! I ended up booking a half day trip with Dana on May 22, 2021 for my husband and I. From the moment we walked into River Run Outfitters we felt welcomed, not only by Carolyn but by all the staff. Dana took us onto the drift boat and before leaving the banks started teaching us about fly fishing.
Dana answered all my questions, gave pointers and advice on my casting. Dana showed me the proper way to catch and release. He made it a very relaxing and fun trip on the water. Dana was quick to point out wildlife that I would typically not see where I am from.
Dana is very friendly, patient, helpful and a good photographer. My husband and I enjoyed his company very much and took away great memories and knowledge. I wish him continued success in what he does for others wanting to learn fly-fishing.
For being my first ever guided fly-fishing trip, Dana set some very high standards for me now. I highly recommend booking a trip with River Run Outfitters. I am already looking forward to the next time I can go again.
