image I cannot say enough good about this school or Alice, the owner. I am going to write this review in response to the (very) negative review that is posted. Firstly, the school is quite clean, and when I attended they went to great lengths to keep us all current and up to date on the current styles and techniques. The instructors are super nice, and were patient in giving instructions and preparing for your state boards. Alice has many many years experience as a stylist before she became and instructor and and a school owner. When I was having trouble with perm rolling, she came out of her office and stood there and helped me and stayed until I could do it. She also personally spoke with my mom when I was doubting being there and encouraged her to talk to me, saying that I had given great haircuts and had a future in the business. ( My tuition was paid in full, and I was less than 500 hours from graduation, so she would've benefited none from my staying.) She genuinely cared about me and my future. While I was there I never had an issue with harassing clients, but whenever there was an issue it was addressed accordingly. I also had access to multiple lines of products and was able to familiarize myself with many different brands; including Paul Mitchell, Big Sexy, Matrix, Redkin, and Schwartzkopf. The only thing in the previous review that had even a shred of truth was charging 10/hr after missing the max amount of allowed days. But I can give you a list of many other cosmo schools that do the exact same thing. This along with the floor hours is set to get you acquainted with how your life will be in a salon. I was so grateful for all the floor time I was able to get at New Image. It gave me a great skill level for when I started at a salon. It also gave me a level of confidence I wouldn't have had with less time. The previous review is an unfair portrayal of a good school, that prepared me well for a career in cosmetology. I left the school and did very well on my state boards, and had multiple offers to salons. Alice, nor the school, deserve to be slandered like they were.
