image I don't know what people on here are talking about. I have been going here for at least 3 years now. I have never seen anyone but Dr. Bassett and that doctor is a female. Dr. Bassett is very nice and caring. She listens to you and answers your concerns. Most of her staff are nice. I have never had to wait more than 30 minutes for my appointment, and if I did it was on a very busy day.

image I've been going here for a year and a half. There is a shortage on my medication and I was told to call the office to submit the prescription in the event of my usual pharmacy being out. I did so and the office lady was very against my request to try a different pharmacy, and wouldn't let me talk with my Dr. either.
Then when I was telling them the full contact info for the new pharmacy they hung up.

image I have been going here for seven years and it is getting ridiculous. You have to wait for hours even when you have an appointment. The last time I was there it was and hour and a half after my appointment time. There were still six people in front of me. Dr. Anderson was the only one there and he left for lunch with all of us waiting. I love the staff except for the office manager. I left because I wasnt going to wait all afternoon. I had already paid and she wouldnt give me money back. She said it would be mailed to me but I never got my $67.

image I was a patient a few years ago. Beware! First Counseling with Dr. Otis Anderson is a patient mill. Your health and wellbeing are not their top priority. Dr. Anderson's practices and policies are like nothing I have ever experienced anywhere in the U.S. They don't like it when you ask legitimate questions about these policies and procedures. They expect you to do as you are told and keep quiet. They make you agree to random drug testing (which is fine, as I have nothing to hide) and even pregnancy tests (as apparently several patients had lied to the doctor about being pregnant in order to obtain medications....therefore all female patients are required to be tested). They will tell you they process the tests themselves, but later you get a bill in the mail from a lab in Texas for thousands of dollars (not an exaggeration). The billing people would not call me when I left a message in person at the reception desk. They also ignored my letter inquiring about the above-mentioned tests. I attempted to leave messages on their voice mail, as the phones are often ignored, but calls are disconnected within seconds, making it impossible to spit out your name, let alone leave any type of message. If you present your questions or concerns about any of this, they will discharge you from their care. That is what happened to me. I was always compliant, friendly, respectful and polite at every apppintment. I signed all their forms. I submitted to their drug and pregnancy tests, even though I was only being treated for depression, anxiety, and grief, and am unable to become pregnant, even if I wanted to, due to menopause. They also want you to fill prescriptions at their clinic. I could not as my insurance company requires I use specific preferred pharmacies. My pharmacist attempted to reach them for authorization to refill a prescription and she was passed around to multiple people, none being the doctor or nurse. The pharmacist was hung up on several times while trying to reach the doctor regarding my medication. My insurance company sent multiple requests via fax to have them fill out a required form to get a prior authorization for a prescription, but were ignored. I have found competent care elsewhere. Also, Dr. Anderson has had his license suspended at least once. I have never experienced anything like this place in my 55 years of life and I certainly hope I never do again.

EVERYONE BEWARE of posts from people who only post negative posts! We are sorry to see that you are still extremely angry from several years ago and are still living in the past instead of moving on. You are talking about over 5 years ago and no one can recall what you are talking about. You have an insurance company that refuses to pay for your medications and tells you where you can and cannot get your medicines yet you do not light them up..instead you focus on the provider who SHOULD NOT HAVE to fill out paperwork for you to get medications that YOUR insurance company SHOULD pay for no problem. ALL medical offices are swamped and WE ARE NOT a patient mill. The DEA has requirements that have to be met and THE DEA REQUIRES the testing. YOU CANNOT GIVE a lot of narcotics to PREGNANT women. Hence the pregnancy test is mandatory. Dr. ANDERSON HAS BEEN GONE FOR YEARS..yet you keep getting on and on here and trashing him. Hopefully where ever you are currently going will help you learn how to cope, forgive and let go of the past and be happy. You should be enjoying life and happy. We wish you well
