This is the third home that I have built and I would not recommend Michael Lee to anyone. The process started out great and we loved their designs, but once we moved in the true quality and lack of attention to detail surfaced. First, their interior designer made a number of misstatements and errors (that the owner would not stand behind). Second, the materials were not as stated in the purchase agreement (they use cheaper MDF vs. real wood trim and millwork). Third, each warranty item you submit is a battle to get completed timely and correctly. Finally, we are stuck with a fireplace that we cannot use because they did not design it correctly and refuse to make it compliant with the manufacturer's requirements (it was designed without a mantel and they failed to include recommended side heat-vents that would allow any size TV to be hung). This company refuses to pay you once you finish building their homes.. They kept putting off payments and waited until the lien time period expired then said we won't be paid for completely finished houses. we have crews of people waiting to be paid and this company refuses... We have plenty of screenshots of them agreeing to the payments, then when its done they just decide they don't want to... Service: Custom home design
