image I love the staffs in Labor & Delivery! I had both my boys at this hospital and the staffs in Labor & Delivery took such great care of me and my boys. The nurses were extremely experienced, empathetic, knowledgeable, and caring. I got the resources I need for postpartum and more per my situation. Their social workers in this department are very resourceful and supportive.
Emergency department needs more attention. There were a few bad experiences with the er department and the staffs were not empathetic and the wait is long. Nutrition department needs more attention as well, I had rotten boiled eggs for breakfast my first labor and delivery. Also didnt get my food I ordered for dinner and had to do take out.

image Today I had such a bad experience with the front lady who checks you in, I believe her name was Sam, Sal, or not sure by name on the visitor card. Well, she was so RUDE and so inconsiderate. My friend had surgery today, her husband was with her but due to an emergency, he had to leave his wife there and call me to help with my friend and pick her up. Well, as soon as I approached the front reception she was so RUDE !!! I explained to her their situation and she still kept on being rude and just telling me he should have not done that, you all can be switching around his illegal and against policys hospital!! Yes, I do understand but once again explain to her it was something out of their control and emergency and just wanted to go upstairs, to follow up and see if my friend was ready for pick up!! She still made me just stand there, and finally came gave me a visitor tag, and still told me YOU BETTER NOT BE A SECOND PERSON up there !! I did tell her I felt her use of words and her attitude was not right and very unprofessional and just very rude! I understand the visits are limited and everything is due to COVID-19, but theres a way to speak and communicate with people, especially in a surgery department, where people might be going through hard times! I honestly would make sure I never do anything in this particular hospital! Very disappointed and just felt so badly treated by her!

image I have been to St Johns ER over 15 times for kidney stones. Etc. So as I'm in the hospital at the moment waiting 1.5 hrs with a catheter in and in excruciating pain. I was told multiple times the Dr was coming to see me and never did as well as asking multiple nurses 8 to be total a long with paging them with the nurse button and the pain button only to be told. We are waiting for your Dr to reply. It should never take 1.5 hrs for a Dr to approve pain medication. Especially when I was in the ER 3 weeks ago with similar pains and was taken care of and pain management was actually a concern. Instead of crying and yelling making noises from 10 pm to about 315 am. I am still in tons of pain and asked where my Dr is or when they were coming and the nurse told me never were. So why did two other nurses lie to me? Why did I have to BEG for pain medication? When someone goes to the aER t
