This is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had by a country mile.
Pros:
Hotel and rooms look nice.
Bed was comfy.
Cons:
Had to wait 10 minutes at the front door to get buzzed in so we could check in.
$35/Day Overnight Parking for hotel guests. (Parking garage system was down when we stayed too.)
No ice machines on ANY of the floors. Have to go to the lobby and ask the front desk clerk to get you a bucket of ice.
No vending machines.
The insulation in the hotel rooms are EXTREMELY POOR. This wouldn’t have been a problem if the blankets were heavy, but the blankets provided are paper thin. The only way to stay warm in my room was to max out the heating system to 80F to get my room to stay at a consistent 70F.
Staff was rude and acted inconvenienced by normal questions.
Bottom Line:
If all you plan on doing is getting hammered drunk in downtown Minneapolis and all you need is a comfy bed to pass out in, this is the place for you.
Otherwise, avoid the Moxy Downtown like the plague.

Called and asked to book a room with a soaking tub, jacuzzi, or whirlpool...arrived at 2 am and got a regular bathtub in a accessible room! Tried to take a bath but...when filling it up with water a whole punch of hair was floating in it!!

I am a titanium elite member of Marriott with 77 nights in 2020 alone. I was living across the street and had someone stay at the moxy. The woman at night was fairly rude, skeptical, and unfriendly during our stay. I did also see her again on 8/30/2020 and she was incredibly demeaning.
We lost a key attached to a very bright yellow boat ‘floaty’ keychain and there is only one place we lost it —- at the Moxy. I will be charged $150 for that key. I asked the manager by day. She ran around and I didn’t know that 1.) she was the manager 2.) she inquired with housekeeping or 3.) the room had been checked. She took my number and promised to return my call.
I returned later that day. Apparently nothing from the day manager. And then the evening manager was incredibly demeaning.
Marriott’s titanium elite customer service line offered me points.
My only request was for customer service, ‘one line of thought’, to occur and a level of respect.
I believe I deserved that.
To remedy: please return the key fob, if it cannot be located, someone should professionally detail the steps taken and sign their name to it. Because I know it was left there.
