After I update review, They solve the problem immediately!
Now I can take a rest without smoke!
Thank you!
----------------------------------------------------------
I moved into this two weeks ago.
Before I choose this apartment,
I traveled to seven apartments downtown.
But This Apartment is huge and beautiful at the same price!
Justine, Leasing Consultant, is kind and Dylan, Marketing Manager, solved my problem quickly.
Also, I can use the fitness center and carport without any extra charge.
When I moved in, 5-inch snow came. But next morning, All cleaned!
Well maintained!
I expected the new day!

If I could give them negative stars I would. My sister and husband almost died from carbon monoxide poisoning and all the apartment complex did was come and change the batteries on the detector. The alarm went off right before they were going to bed and if they had gone to sleep they would had not woke up.
At 11pm at night, they were told to just put the detector outside, open some windows (in winter), and that the maintenance person would be there when they could. After more than an hour of no one showing up they called the fire department who came immediately said that it was good they got out when they did.
This apartment complex does not care about your safety at all.

Update Part 3: they replaced our water heater but left the washer and dryer in the living room. It’s extremely dangerous especially because I have kids. It’s an accident waiting to happen. Pictures included.
UPDATE Part 2: I have to take another star off.
Once again no hot water (3rd time since moving in and this time it’s been 6 days) I’ve called the office and now it’s just a waiting game.
Also, got an “offer” to renew my lease and it’s being raised almost $200. I feel like I’m being punished for renewing my lease. It would be cheaper if I came in as a new tenant. I just hate that they can raise your rent and they can’t even put in a functioning water heater.
Update: Have to take a star off already simply due to maintenance. First week and I’ve already had 3 maintenance requests and only one has been fixed. Actually, put in another maintenance request today because my dishwasher doesn’t work, it just smokes and makes the dishes hot but not clean and I’m pretty sure it’s not running water.
We’ll see how long this takes to be handled, it’s kind of annoying because the amount of rent this place cost you’d think the appliances were checked first before moving tenants in. Other than that I love it here, I think in the future I’m going to have to call my brother to fix things because maintenance doesn’t.
My review is based solely on my interaction with the initial leasing process. That being said, Nikki Gaspar has been an amazing Leasing Consultant. Truly, made everything simple as can be. I would give WCA 5 stars but getting ahold of someone via phone is honestly a little annoying but Nikki personally was on top of our email communication. So far so good, Hopefully my stay here will remain a 4 star experience.

This is an honest review of Woodland Creek Apartments. We lived in a larger 2 bed overlooking the woods on the third floor. From May 2020 to May 2021. Previously my boyfriend rented a 1 bed on the other side of the complex, we relocated to a bigger unit in 2020.
The Good: The view of the woods is great, there is a small stream that runs through the woods that you can hear when the doors are open. We see a lot of wildlife here, deer and turkey mostly. The geese stay near the ponds in the front of the complex. The apartments are big, and the layout is well designed with the bedrooms towards the back corners of the apartment. You get one covered spot for free with rent and access to the indoor/outdoor pools, fitness center and clubhouse (covid depending).
The Bad: The buildings can be noisy. I usually can hear the dogs towards the front of the building/across the hall and below me bark when people move or shut/open doors. Neighbors don't respect quiet times and often blast music and or TV's after night hours. The residents often leave the security door open on the buildings. I have seen this on more than one instance.
Parking around the apartment sections is limited with neighbors often having guests take up resident parking. Gas can be higher because of the size/insulation of the apartments. We had an ice dam develop in late Feb/early march 2021 and the water made its way into our apartment. I have attached photos of what we went through. A few apartments were damaged this year due to the long cold snap, some worse than ours. We had a small issue with the gas company charging us too much our first weeks here and had to have DTE fix it.
Covid messed up most of the things residents pay for, maintenance was slow to respond to issues but did eventually fix my concerns. Make sure to read the fine print of your lease, to break it; they charge 2x your rent.
Would I recommend this place? Probably not for the price you pay.
