We were definitely disappointed. At the time of this review, 4 star rating is not accurate. Their website is well done and promising, but the condition of the rooms, acoustics, and control of hallway guests made our stay very uncomfortable. The employees were very gracious, but seemed to struggle also with what they have to work with. Our first and second rooms were poorly maintained and lacked attention to detail. A toilet on an angle, odor coming from the bathroom, greasy hand prints on living room and bedroom walls, picture hangers left in walls, and older decor. Id also like to mention the large glass block wall dividing the bathroom and bedroom, lights up the bedroom in the middle of the night. Nighttime was very noisy. Although the open floor plan is beautiful, the noise from every floor traveled. It was hard to sleep, on different floors every door seemed to slam, police patrols with their radio’s blaring, loud guest chatter and traffic. I do not have any intention of returning

I did not know if I should post this but I feel like I have to. I have been staying at this hotel 2 to 3 times per week for the past month and a half, not a 4 star hotel overpriced, restaurant is at the bar no tables to eat at, rooms are all outdated, no microwave, found out this morning they charge you $4 for a bottle of water that sent me over the top you would think for over $300 per night you could at least get a bottle of water. They also need better sound pruffing can’t sleep till after 2am because all the loud music, cars, and motorcycles racing. If I was paying for this I would definitely not stay here go somewhere else.

Stayed here over July 4 weekend. Very loud by both other guests and the traffic. Hotel could be updated. Beds uncomfortable and horrible sheets. Do not recommend this hotel. Best part was the valet gentleman

The rooms are beautiful and big, it’s very comfortable but the staff is unprofessional. The manager Kenzie they didn’t want to give me her full name was unprofessional. The valet lost my car keys, i had to wait 3 hours for them to find them, they were in someone else car attached to another person who keys were missing. She threatened to call the cops on me. They didn’t call the guy who lost my keys which he was unprofessional also he took extra money from me which i just found out he wasn’t supposed to.

We stayed here for a small honey moon weekend stay while we waited for our plane to leave for our real honey moon. We paid over $1,000 for two nights in a standard room. The air conditioning did not work, but when mentioned they said they didn’t have any other rooms, they refused us house keeping services when we told them we were leaving for the day, they told us they can give us sheets and we can make our own bed. We put our trash and used towels outside the door as they requested and they sat there for 2 days and we’re still there when we left. It was so loud at night, I was constantly being woken up if not from the noise, from the pool of sweat I was sleeping in. The comforter had old blood marks on it, and when asked to use shuttle service for my wife so I could take her to an elegant honey moon dinner, they told me “walking is good for her”. While that same shuttle employee watches my wife walk down in 80 degree weather, wearing a $780 gown and 5 inch heels, this is how we were apparently walking around in downtown Detroit. I wouldn’t suggest this place. Stay at Greektown if you’re looking for a nice hotel.
