Enjoyed 4 years of my life here until the management team screwed us over at the end. Tried to put a notice in to move out (on multiple occasions), received no response from the property manager and 3 months later they sent us to a collection agency accusing us of not notifying them on time. Perhaps if we received a response at all it would’ve saved a headache and I would’ve given it 5 stars. 5 stars to the building and 0 to management. The handyman is a nice guy though.
Oh and by the way, we had a rock fly in through our window and left a gaping hole they never fixed. For 2 years we called and dealt with it. Complete negligence on their end. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Good bye Palms!!

The Palms is an apartment building located at 1001 East Jefferson Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. It was one of the first buildings in the United States to use reinforced concrete as one of its major construction materials. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

I lived here from 2016-2020 and I love the buildings historic feel and location! There were multiple downsides I pushed aside because the price was well worth what you get! The laundry unit is horrible, there is free parking around the building, and there are all animals allowed. Because the building is old there would be water/pipe issues a lot. I gave the Palms a one star reviews solely based on the management team. Princeton Management is horrible and does not care about any concerns you have. They have horrible communication and only care about your money.

This is by far the nicest apartment complex I’ve ever stayed in. Joyce is the manager, & Tim & Lamant are the ones who work on any issues and upkeep of the complex. Friendly people! This is truly a hidden gem of a place. Absolutely beautiful building, very Detroit like. I love living here. I love the neighbors too. Everyone is so friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice affordable place downtown. I can see the riverfront from the apt! Love it.
