Looking for connecting rooms? Please read. I booked my stay a full month in advance of my stay with Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton for our family of 6 (4 minors.) Upon check-in at 4pm, we were told that no connecting rooms were available for our stay but rooms should have been blocked out for us and a note would be left for the manager on Monday. (We stayed Sat-Mon). Feeling like we had no choice, we accepted the best they could do which was rooms across the hall from each other that frustratingly both had the capability to be connecting rooms. This change in our planned accommodations caused me to literally lose out on a night of sleep. On top of that, the hotel itself is old and loud. We could hear people walking, doors slamming, toilets flushing, even phones ringing in the rooms above and near us, all of which could be heard over the white noise machine Id brought. One of our rooms had a VERY slow draining tub which basically made every shower a bath, and the other had sunflower seeds jammed into the air conditioning vents. The seating in the lobby area is beyond worn. Holes in the upholstery, sagging cushions, etc. This would never be my first choice for our family again, especially when, upon check-out we learned that notes had NOT been left for management. Furthermore, the manager then decided the best course of action would be to blame ME for the room assignments, going so far as to condescendingly explain to me that rooms 319 and 320 are across the hall from each other while rooms that are both oddly or evenly numbered would be on the same side of the hall. Trust me, Im aware. Its not what I chose or what I wanted. Neither one of the ladies behind the counter had any compassion for the situation or interest in retaining my business even though I am a frequent traveler to the area. One literally talked over the other to point out that you know, a confirmation is NOT a guarantee. Does the hotel business not rely on room confirmations? Ive stayed at hotels where connecting rooms are merely requested and then granted when available. This booking system specifically allows you to filter by connecting rooms and emails you a confirmation that they will connect. My mistake in letting that language give me peace of mind. I was starting to get quite upset at the choice to blame the customer and I asked for compensation for just one of the two rooms, but was told they cant do that. I was also told flatly, well, you stayed here as if the better option would have been to pay for the rooms that were confirmed (but not guaranteed!) and also drive around town with 4 kids to find somewhere that could actually offer adjoining rooms. In the end, I was given 10% off, which is not even enough to cover the room tax, and told to call the customer assistance number. They also offered points but could not tell me the amount of points or offer any printed or emailed confirmation that they would actually be issued. If you are traveling with a group or large family, beware that your confirmation means nothing.

Location is great. Most of the management was very rude. Paid almost $900 for 3 days. Had to switch rooms. My first room was disgusting. Blood on the door frame, hair in the bed because the blankets weren't switched out. Previous fire in one of the outlets. Please, don't waste your money here.
Noteworthy details: Disgusting place to stay. I took an 11 minute video and I posted it and they cut out the part showing the blood on the wall.

My check in experience was exceptional. The counter staff was extremely helpful. The room was not quite what I would have hoped for. For instance, the heavy curtains do not close. What you see in my picture is what you get. Hope you like to wake up to the sunshine! The clock in the room has a bad display and was like that when we checked in, so it has been neglected. I'm not a germ freak, but sometimes it's nice to hit a sanitizer station just to clean up your hands a bit. Not a single station I tried anywhere in the hotel worked. Finally, the bathroom exhaust fan did not work, making it quite difficult for my wife to get ready. One thing I will say, the bed was quite comfortable minus the fact that it squeaked and creaked like nothing I'd ever heard before every time you barely moved. On a side note, the breakfast bar, there was not really gluten free friendly, bring your own muffins if wanted.
