STAY AWAY. XTend is in real trouble, and Bruno Bastos the owner is resorting to scams to get people to pay upfront and then abandoning the projects. After over a year of lies and delays, I was forced to sue Bruno, and won a judgment for $7,500 (maximum small claims award plus interest), even though he owes me more. He is still lying and delaying to avoid payment.

In March 2022, I signed a contract to redo our deck (remove existing boards but leave the
structure intact and replace the boards). I paid a deposit of $6,750 (half the total cost), because
Bruno explicitly stated that he needed the money to order the material "that day, right after leaving" my
house. This was the first of his lies: there is no evidence that he ever purchased supplies. When Bruno's workers removed the old decking in May 2022, Bruno called and made two more false representations: 1) the decking had arrived but he could not install it yet because the existing structure needed reinforcement; 2) he needed an additional $5,000 for reinforcing material, which I paid. Again, he never purchased ANY supplies. Since that time, NO work was done, while he continued to make fraudulent representations; on numerous occasions, he said very explicitly that both the decking and the reinforcing material had arrived but he could not schedule the installation because of a tight schedule (lies, lies, lies). Once he even said that he was in a coma for a month! This continued for months and months, and because he could not supply receipts proving that he had ordered the material, I got my attorney to send a Demand Letter in October 2022. More lies continued into Spring of 2023. In August 2023, the District Court of Woburn issued a judgment in my favor for $7,500. I will have to pursue the next legal step of enforcement (Writ of Execution), because Bruno is someone without an ounce of honesty, integrity or responsibility.
