I found this company on Craigslist - not typically the way a great review starts! However from initial contact - all the way through the install - the process was a pleasure! Everyone I dealt with was polite, responded quickly, and professional! Countertops were installed today - and I couldn't be happier!

We are extremely happy to have stumbled upon Granite Designs a number of years ago. . . . . 32 kitchens later there is no one else we would use! Pricing is reasonable without sacrificing customer service and attentiveness. Quality of work is top notch. Gene and his team are responsive, cover a large market area and always a pleasure to work with!!

I initially chose this company for a quartz countertop and paid a deposit. However, after finding out that Home Depot offered the same countertop for $3,000 less, I decided to switch. The company initially seemed accommodating and allowed me to get my deposit back to purchase from Home Depot.
The real issue arose when I received my refund and found that $400 was missing. This deduction was particularly shocking given that their service involved only a ten-minute measurement at my home. Adding to my frustration, they arrived nearly four hours late for this brief appointment, causing significant inconvenience and making me late for work. Despite this, they offered no apology or explanation for their tardiness and entitled themselves to $400 of my deposit. While I would have understood a $150 deduction to cover transportation costs and reasonable profit, their choice to charge nearly triple the standard site visit fee without prior notice felt not only excessive but also strikingly dishonest.
This experience has left me feeling frustrated and deceived. The lack of transparency regarding excessive fees, coupled with poor customer service and disrespect of their customers time, is a significant concern. I strongly advise against putting down a deposit with this company, as it seems they find ways to secure their profits at the customer's expense.
