Im 62 and Ive been self-employed for 19 years. Basically, the main number is a waste of time. No one answers. Several times Ive had to drive just to communicate things that shouldve been simple. First person they assigned was nice but put me through a lot about a particular email and they ended up forgetting to send it.
2nd person forget I work late nights part time and called me early morning anyways. Big argument; this newer person refuses to help show me my options on a PT job. She keeps demanding a rsum from me even though it would have nothing to specifically target. Also, they waited until about my fourth visit to let me know that they validate parking for the garage. Would think there would be at least a sign. Apparently they offer some things through zoom but seem frustrated with me when I want to be in person. During my last appointment, Ellen couldnt seem to keep with the conversation and was obsessed about showing me minimum wage dead end jobs on her computer. Im still registered but this experience so far is

1-17-2024. was back today; Didnt want to hear my predicament. Asked for Help with resume. We talked in circles. I left feeling a sense of humiliation.

This office makes me reconsider if its even worth collecting unemployment. They claim theyre there at aid in finding a new job yet they have made that process nothing but absolutely frustrating and aggravating while creating more problems than its worth. The people working there are incredibly rude, condescending, disrespectful and unprofessional. I was sent an email from them meant to go to another person with all his personal information including his social security number, the woman at the office had no clue she sent it to the wrong person. Makes me feel like my personal information is not safe with them. Tried to reach the person in that office via the phone number they provided me in an email and was yelled at and hung up on numerous times before being told I couldnt be spoken to because I dont speak Spanish. I was frequently told they dont service my town, which theyre supposed to, which has caused issues. Was sent multiple emails about missing paperwork I provided numerous times. Overall terrible experience, I highly recommend finding a job on your own and avoiding unnecessary aggravation.

Absolutely the worst government scam I have ever seen . They make you pay in but when you haven't found a job after 2 wks they threatened me that they said I was milking the system and threatened to shut off my unemployment. I asked the 2 woman incharge of answering questions so I could fulfill the requirements only to get a sorry go to the website . You go to the website only for it to say it'notavailable The crooked system is set up to try and not pay you during this difficult period .
