image He used to be my regular dentist until he put his hands in my mouth without gloves and didn't think anything of it. Makes you wonder how many times he's done that, spreading bacteria, fungi and viruses. Good job, buddy.

image I have been going to Dr. Tremblay for some 30 or so years and know that I have been under very good care.  Although he is not Dr. Warm and Fuzzy, he is a professional that has his patients dental health at the top of his priority list.  I have a similar story as Dae M. about the so-called "lecture" on dental care.  Most of my 30 years with Dr. Tremblay one of the hygienists would clean my teeth.  There was a lot of digging every time.  Never once did anyone recommend I change my brushing habits.  About a year ago, for some reason Dr. Tremblay did my cleaning.  He did speak to me in his direct manor about my brushing habits.  I told him I brushed twice a day but may have been a little lax on my flossing.  He recommended a spin head tooth brush because he believed it would do a better job than my current one.  I could have been offended but instead heeded his advice on the toothbrush and did a better job flossing.  At my next cleaning with a hygienist, there was far less digging because there was far less plaque.  In addition the office staff and hygienists have always been professional and I have never waited "too long" to sit in a chair.Bottom line, if you're looking for Dr. Charming, you probably won't find him in Dr. Tremblay but if your looking for a professional who really does care about his patients, then he's the guy to see.

image He was fantastic with my two young boys and when I called for an emergency filling he got me right in. You know how the saying goes for opinions but I don't trust my kids with just anyone.

image Avoid this dentist. I was new in town and picked him out of the phone book and from the very first visit I was regretful of my decision. Like the review that wasn't recommended, but really quite true, I was made to wait an hour for my appointment, and when Dr. Tremblay was finally ready for me I was treated to a litany of insults about my oral care. He lectured me about how he has the equipment to do a better job at cleaning teeth and that I'm not doing a good enough job and that I should listen to him. By the time I left I felt as though I had been verbally abused. I went back hoping he had only been in a bad mood that day but, Nope, same lecture the next time. Less harsh but still carried on about what a bad job I was doing on my teeth and he was inordinately rough with the cleaning and flossing to the point where I bled. I do not have gum disease and I brush/floss daily. The real croup de grace was when my husband, needing dental care figured he'd give Dr. T a shot and, to the man's credit he DID do a great job restoring my husband's tooth, BUT due to an insurance mix up the payment was screwed up and $200 was not paid to the dentist. We only received two phone calls and maybe one letter before Dr. Tremblay decided it was appropriate to sue us for his money. Apparently his awesome attitude toward his patients had him raking in the dough huh? Otherwise, who is really that hard up they're running to sue someone for $200. Had he been more reasonable about contacting we'd have been happy to make arrangements but now, pretty sure no one should ever take their pets to this guy unless they want to be physically harmed, verbally assaulted AND taken to court.

image For years, I went to The Valley Dentists in Hadley. They're fantastic and I love them. Then my insurance changed, and I had to find a new one. I was due for a cleaning recently, so I made an appointment with Dr. Tremblay in Easthampton, because he's within walking distance and takes my new insurance. I am NEVER going back.First, they kept me waiting for an hour. My appointment was at 11, I didn't even get called back until 11:45, and no one actually saw me until noon. Then Dr. Tremblay came in and was an enormous jackass. First he took my glasses off without asking me, or even giving me any warning (really, thanks for respecting my personal boundaries, doc), and put them LENSES DOWN on his instrument tray. Yes, because I really want the things I put next to three of my mucous membranes and that I rely on for sight next to a bunch of mouth crud and sharp objects. Then, while cleaning my teeth, he kept resting the palm of his hand on my eye. He actually rested his hand on top of my left fucking eye. And both he and the hygienist (who polished half my teeth...what the fuck was the point of that?) delivered, verbatim, the same oral hygiene lecture four times. Four separate times. WHY. Also, you know how every single dentist ever has a little bitty water spigot they use to rinse the crud/polish off your teeth, and a little vacuum to suck it away? This guy doesn't. He doesn't have those things. For the first time in my 29 years of life, they had me periodically lean up and over, and rinse my mouth from a water cup. I don't know what the fuck kind of podunk strip mall dentist office this asshole is running, but I just...I don't even.Stay away. Stay far, far away.
