John, the owner of General Plumbing is a nice guy, honest and easy to deal with. He was very responsive when my water heater stopped working. His guy came down the same day and got us up in running temporarily until a new water heater could be installed, His price was very competitive for this type of work and I would use him again to do work on my multi-family in Medford.I've updated this review to note the continued good work they have done over past years

I had a great experience using these folks. As another reviewer complained about their lack of phone skills, I'm not so bothered by that as long as they come to my house and take care of what I need for a reasonable price and that is what these folks did. I called 7 plumbers just for routine maintenance on my furnace. General Plumbing accepted the job. They sent Mike and he knocked it out of the park. Took care of my furnace, checked all the radiators in the house and repaired a broken valve on the boiler. All for $240. This is going rate and Mike was a total professional. I will have them back to take care of a toilet replacement and all of our plumbing needs in the future. I can't believe they've been around for 70 years. I wish I had found them sooner but again they are our plumbers for all future jobs.
