Washington, DC: African American History Tour with Dinner
On the 16th of February, myself and another participate in the Night Time Tour of the Nations Capital with KB Tours. The driver and host, Mr. Kenny Burns arrived at the hotel at the exact time the tour started. He receives a 5-stars because the tour the guest was to meet at a location at 701 Pennsylvania Ave NW, but Mr. Burns, owner and operator changed and said he would be happy to stop by our hotel location to begin the tour.
The driving tour was done inside a Sprinter Van Mercedes-Benz. The comfort and cleanness of the vehicle was without a doubt wonderful. 5-stars.
Mr. Burns, a native of the Washington DC area has a tremendous amount of knowledge and a historian of DC and the Afro-Americans entertained us with his expertise of the geographical area made the tour very personal and clear to understanding. Listening to him speak so elegantly with great conviction for the history of black Americans from a DC perspective. 5-stars
While myself and the guest were the only ones present on the cold evening in DC, the learned information as told by our driver made me feel like I actually was walking in time and in the footsteps of those great Afro-American men and women that paved a way for my history. 5 -stars
The total cost of the trip in my opinion, was quite reasonable for a driving tour of DC with at a local restaurant owned and operated by Afro-Americans for dinner. The cost for two with the dinner included totaled $200.00. While this review is only about the KB Tours, I will only mention that the dinner location for the food was outstanding. I will have a review of my experience specific to that restaurant. 5-stars
Guessing if any draw backs is to be mentioned is that the temperature was cold that evening. Limited us to enjoy the up close look at Martin Luther King, Jrs memorial. This was voted on as Mr. Burns was far more than eager to allow us to exit the van to get photos at the other locations, but we voted that seeing the MLK memorial would be fine by us. 5-stars
Mr. Burns did say that the dinner add-on was a trial run and we happened to be the first to experience his dinner add on. Guessing he will work out the tactical and coordination with the choice restaurants in the future. For what it was like I appreciate the full experience he intended. For Mr. Burns being created in scheduling dinner added a touch of class after the three hours of riding around the DC area. Least I forget, the tour took us to Howard University where I learned much more about the school that was not known. 5-stars.

Great Tour Company. I was able to sign up for the night tour at the last minute on September 13th. Kenny kept us informed when he was delayed in traffic. I was touring solo and the other tour participants were friendly and welcoming. We took a tour of the DC neighborhoods from a African American perspective and had dinner at a soul food restaurant. The restaurant Ohhs and Aahs was great. Everyone enjoyed their food and the waitress was very friendly. We then continued our night tour. The monuments were great at night. Not as crowded. I would recommend KB Tours. Tell KB that Yellow Light recommended you!

I cannot recommend KB Tours enough! The tour provided so much insight and knowledge about the sights, neighborhoods, DC and black history. Kenny knows his stuff, provides great knowledge and anecdotes while being incredibly interactive and accommodating. I will be recommending his daily tour to any family or friend visiting DC!

Jack leg tour was overpriced and mediocre! The tour was rushed and KB has an attitude, somewhat of a smart mouth with no patience. Ill NEVER use him again and I tell you folks dont use him either. Go with Signature D C Tours! Vernon and John are the best! Vernon goes through the tour thoroughly and knows his history. He had a great attitude and the tour was $10.00 cheaper. I wish I could get my money back from Jack leg KB but you live and learn. Only reason I gave 2 stars was because KB knew a little bit of history. They rest was Poor.

Mr. Kennys knowledge of history will leave you in awe. It was an awesome time!
