Benefits for my daughter were approved Feb 3, 2024, but have not received any payment. I called customer service twice and was told the account is suspended. They had no idea why and had to refer the request to Office of Earnings and Int'l Operations. Tried calling that number numerous times. After 20 minutes on hold, you get a voice message telling you to send an email and then the call disconnects. You can even stay on hold to get through. How about less money to Ukraine and Israel and more to our own government to add more workers. God Bless America.

Sad. Trying to reach anyone in Human Resources is a excise in futility. As retiree I feel ashamed that the place has dropped in quality response.

Honestly I feel the agency's frontline employees are horribly understaffed, overworked, and underpaid. However, the "Frontline" employees truly care about serving the public. They are professional and they do their jobs to the best of their ability. They truly have a heart for service. I believe training of the "Frontline" employees and of the administrative law judges needs to improve tremendously. Better training and more staff would help the agency provide higher quality service to the public. Overall, SSA has a heart for people who need help the most (i.e., orphans, the elderly, the disabled, the poor, and the sick). I pray the benefits/services are around if I ever find myself in need of assistance. I am happy to pay taxes if they all go towards SSA and the services they provide.
