My story with Maine Expedited Freight Company is All Good. These guys went out of their way to handle transportation of an antique hutch I purchased in Maryland and got it to my door in Maine all safe with not one bit of damage. The whole team of guys I talked to were always very pleasant. Count on this company to serve you with your moving needs!

Better with commercial accounts than residential.
Professionally answered the phone on a weekend and gave a price quote while answering questions and explaining their services.
The gentleman on-site were nice helping unload items in the rain.
We were told we would be able to pack the box with all the odd shaped items-mounted moose antlers, ice fishing traps, rocking chair, bookcase, odd shaped items to have shipped to the west coast.
We called as we were asked to do the week before, morning of, and just before arrival and each time they changed the plan.
We did not get to pack the crate ourselves as they were still working on a big medical equipment order to send to Boston and an antique artifact.
We had to leave all our items on the garage floor pushed to corners around the new large medical machines.
They assured us they would pack it well and be sent out in just a couple days. I expressed concern about the bell on the bottom of the antler mount and provided a empty tote to put around it for protection. The gentleman understood and reassured me they knew what they were doing.
This is where things kept going down hill.
We had to call again and again and be ignored about when the crate would be shipped to our new home. It was shipped a week later, I was told that an employee packed it well and that they spent a lot of time and $ on OSB to make the container too much time was spent in my opinion said Brian.
I never received tracking information, that I was told I would.
My items arrived damaged and a few wrapped glass items in a padded tote broken, even with their effort to pack it well. The empty tote was just thrown in and the moose beard/bell was folded up and shrink wrapped. Items were put inside book case, even some slightly padded banged around causing damage while being trucked across country. The antlers rubbed and wore on many things unprotected. The tips of the antlers are worn and need TLC
I would use Maine Expedited Fright again as there are not many options available, but with clear expectations and communications. I would try to find other companys first.
The total cost just under $1,000 in Oct 2021 to receive the items the way they were with broken promises. They failed to deliver the level of service they told me to expect. I do believe they try and are also busy.
