They don't answer their phone, they don't reply to e-mails, and they don't return voice mail calls. Basically, to me they don't want to remain in business. They pretty much Byte.

They don't answer their calls. Cant leave message because its always full. I cant get my autistic son his diapers. It's always a fight to get the diapers each month. Before they had gave enough boxes like 9 or 8. Now they giving us only 5. And hes 8 and still in diapers. I'd like them try to take care of my kids or my son once to see how hard it is and I cant always be on hour on hours on waiting on cellphone to get them at black bear medical to answer the phones to order . I'm a very unhappy customer

I called towards the end of June because I needed a replacement seat cushion for my wheelchair, since mine had gone missing. I got my doctor to send in the prescription and then didn’t hear from anyone for 3 weeks. I finally called again only to be told that they were still waiting on additional paperwork from my doctor. When I asked if they had requested the paperwork I was told verbatim “that’s not our job.” Yet no one ever called me to tell me I needed to request it from my doctor. When I asked for a phone number to file an official complaint, they said they would contact my doctor and take care of everything. I heard back from someone a week later asking what kind of seat cushion it was (even though I was told all that information is on file), and once they figured that out, they would be putting in for a quote from the manufacturer. This was July 16th. I never heard from them again. After 3 months, I started calling weekly to get updates, as well as ask for the corporate number to file an official complaint. Every time I called I was told that they would email the chair specialist and notify the manager, and that someone would get back to me. No one ever did. Finally today I would not take no for an answer in getting the corporate number. The sales person kept telling me that she wasn’t allowed to give out the corporate number, only the branch manager could do that, but that she was not in the office (as always when I called). I then called the Bangor branch and asked to speak to their manager. Within 5 minutes, he got on the phone with the corporate head of Rehab devices and put me in direct contact with him. The Bangor manager also told me to not hesitate to reach out to him if I have any further issues with Portland. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The head of Rehab devices had to put in the order for my seat cushion himself, and could in fact see all of the information about my seat cushion in the system. I’m hoping that by sharing my experience I am helping others avoid this in the future. Those of us with disabilities are not in a wheelchair by choice and to be treated with such indifference is unacceptable. I will also be filing a complaint with theBetter Business Bureau.

How can I give a negative 10 stars???? The resupply representative made it very clear that Blackbear medical has no responsibility to inform their customers about the recall status of the equipment they sell you. Her only responsibility is to sell you more supplies so you will continue to use a piece of equipment they know may harm or kill you. If you are not giving them cash they have no use for you, end of story.
