My GF and her Daughter went in for simple trim of dead ends on January 23rd,2021. Proceeded to do hair wash on both of them, which come to find out, is against COVID rules for operating a saloon. We didn’t find out about this until visiting another saloon, First Impressions and dealt with Megan, which was very professional and understanding of the situation, fixed the atrocious mess that was created previously to both customers.
My Girlfriends hairs was cut lopsided and she took off 9” for a “Trim dead ends”. Her Daughters hair was “Layered” and dead ends cut off. The layer was not fluent or even between the sides. We contacted the owner of Shear Designs the next day, January 24th and requested a refund because job was done absolutely horrible. She proceeded to get irritated with my GF over the refund but agreed to refund after explaining the having to go get it fixed elsewhere. We then continued to play phone tag for the next 3 weeks and had finally decided we were just going to drop in for refund due to unprofessional behavior of avoiding a customer. Today, March 26th, 2021, we saw her at her shop and she was with a client and said to my GF it was going to be 10 minutes and she would be available. My GF left the building to do a quick errand while I sat in the car. In less then 10 minutes, she finished with her customer (which I fear for outcome) and shut her sign off and locked up within 6 minutes. Packing up her mini van as quickly as she could. Obviously proving she is avoiding us for $70 which shouldn’t be an issue for a reparable company. I encourage small business, but only when they actually provide a service and not cost headaches or money to get a refund. Will be contacting someone about her business license.
