image Overall we had a pleasant stay and I would give the Norumbega a 4 out of 5 stars.  For the price attached to it, honestly I expected much more and was a bit disappointed.
Pros:
*Amazingly beautiful castle with elegant decor set on a beautiful lot of land
*superb breakfast that teased my taste buds every morning
*kind and friendly helpful staff Tiana, Carisa, & Cindy
*quiet quaint town
*quiet peaceful stay overall
Cons:
*Door lock barely catches the door and doesn't feel safe
*Shade fell out of top of holder in bathroom window when we tried to open, hit me in the shoulder
*Spider and web on bedside table attached to wall and another several cob webs around the room
*Shower light alone was incredibly dim
*bed was super hard and we didn't sleep well, woke up in pain
*bed post is cracked and loose near patio side
*couch in room is so uncomfortable it can barely be sat on
*TV was very tiny, hard to read anything from sitting on bed
*often ran out of milk/cream at keurig station and had to go to other floors
*missing a fridge in the room for dinner leftovers or to keep drinks cold
Suggestion:
*perhaps make inside the castle common areas a "no phone call zone".....it was very distressing to me to hear an old lady having a full phone conversation while I was trying to enjoy my quiet morning breakfast....she was talking about her elderly husband feeling like he was going to pass out and carried this conversation on for over 5 minutes and we heard the entire convo and felt badly....just rude on her part to have that conversation while others are trying to enjoy a peaceful breakfast....staff could kindly ask her if she needs help but please take her conversation to her room or some place private so other guests don't have to hear it

image This was such a fun experience. The inn looks a bit like a castle and feels mysterious inside. Our room had a lovely jacuzzi tub and four-poster king bed. Breakfast was delicious with either table service or room service with 3 courses. If you're a bigger eater, you might be hungry so bring some snacks. There are keurig coffee machines on each floor and it would be nice if there was a fridge and microwave in the common areas. In the basement, there was a game room with puzzles, movies, books, and a dart board. Carisa was super kind and helpful in answering our questions. Management uses text to communicate to the guests and sometimes requests made via text slip through but everyone is really gracious. Wonderful grounds, well-kept, the gazebo is neat as well.
