To clarify my dog is hypoallergenic so nobody with allergies will be affected by her presence of 20 minutes.
Beth is not the epitome of customer service but maybe at the Best Westerns because the standards there represent the epitome of condescending, rude, arrogant, non-helpful customer service.
Updated in response to hotel defense:
This is was my experience and the dog is hypoallergenic so your defense or reason why to charge me $300 extra was in fact rubbish. The pup came to visit, she did not stay. No where on the door does it say bring a dog in and we charge $200. The timing of Beths calls were not in question she made sure to harass us numerous times by phone because it was 5 minutes past 11. Most hotels check out is 12. And they always give an hour more grace time. I've never had a front desk manager with nothing better to do than call over and over at 11am. Especially during a slow time when there's not many guests in and out. So thanks for the reminder but it wasn't even a part of my complaint. What you didn't hear is Beth inform me of the charges that were to be added to my bill. I didn't sign the receipt either so they will be disbuted. They were unauthorized and I suggest you simply do what you're suppose to in customer service and serve you customers with some repsect. Phone conversations with a couple of employees proves now that these people think they're above others with a condescending tone and very unbecoming.
I was charged $303. For a room that was $200.
Then I was charged $172 extra. I can post a pic for proof. Had to enduring loud obnoxious guests next door all night and morning having a party. Not worth the $200 def not $500.
What a nasty customer service interaction can do to spoil the entire experience is not to be discredited. I've stayed in rough places to ocean view suites and I tell you where friendly, helpful, understanding, kind humans serve with a smile its always a 5 star for me. I didn't want to give this hotel even 1 star because of Beth, front desk manager, who I briefly said goodbye and a hearty thanks to for the stay as I was a little dazed after resting from my medical operation the day prior. She didn't mention that she would graciously be adding $300 to my bill because my dad brought my little dog Goldie, who I didn't get to keep because of unforeseen medical issues, to see me for a visit before leaving. It was such a thoughtful idea and it made me feel that much better until I realized what Beth had done later that night. The trip medical bill, and stay had already wiped me out financially, so to Beth I'd say this review is entirely different than I imagined it would be due to you. Especially considering the hotel is "pet friendly". Hospitality might not be your niche and as a seasoned bartender by trade, I respectfully give you such advice.

Checked in room.Started to lay down.The mattress
sunk in the middle and very hard!Kids were dancing on the top ceiling. Very noisy!Called the lobby.He ask if I wanted another room.I said ok.New room wasn't mutch better.The mattress was better.The aircondition did not cool the room.Finally later that afternoon I wanted a .39 cent fruit cup.The employee told me I could not have one they were only for breakfast!Very rude!I paid 250.for 2 nights.I will not stay again!!

The rooms are nice and the hotel itself is nice but the staff not so much. I booked a room for 4 nights they only gave me two. Come too find out there is a concert the last two nights I was supposed to stay they recharged my room price to someone else for almost twice the rate I paid.

We had a reservation through booking.com and when we got there after a long day of driving with 4 little kids, the front desk said they didn’t have any booking from booking.com. When we called booking.com, they said it had been sent through and then the manager at this Best Western said they received the email of the booking but the front desk doesn’t have access to the emails so she had already sold out our room that we had booked. There were no other hotels nearby that had room for our family of 6 and so we had to drive hours and back home. It was unbelievably frustrating that the only size room that would fit our family (that we had booked weeks in advance) was already given away.

I booked a room on 11:58, Dec 29, I wanted to book the room on DEC 30 but I did not check the date. Then the reservation was in Dec 29 and I was in Exeter. I called them to change the date to the correct date but the answer was NO because it was unrefundable. It’s their service.
